I wish we had a leader who didn't continually sacrifice the interests of ordinary Americans on the altar of international banking, terrorist Gulf State monarchies, and proto-fascist states.

In my thread on globalization, and in various discussions of robustness (ie survivability) I think I spell out what I think America should be capable of, and in general I think America should be able to survive essentially on its own, for an indefinite future. We should be self-sufficient in food, water, basic manufacturing (steel, energy industries including solar and wind, chip fabs, basic industrial chemicals). We should pay at least as much attention to what happens WITHIN our borders, not outside of them. We should be prepared to trade, but only on a balanced-trade basis. All of that is possible: America is a vast nation which is rich in resources.

Now, there is one thing that Hillary is, and that's a globalist. She has already sacrificed our "ordinary people" interests for the interests of the Gulf States, Israel, international banks, transnational corporations, and "free trade" agreements, and she will do so in the future. The DNC platform reflects that.

There is one thing that Trump probably isn't, and that's a globalist. If I begin to think that Trump will negotiate away our national interests in favor of globalist interests, I'll vote down-ballot. Whoever I vote for, I can tell you with absolute certainty it will NOT be for Hillary. (BTW, I refer to her as "Hillary" not as a sign of disrespect but to distinguish her from her husband. I disrespect Hillary because she's a warmongering corrupted neocon who will sell us downriver in a heartbeat, not because of her sex.)

Trump has a lot of negatives attached, but there's a decent chance that he really has America's interests at heart, unlike Hillary who will carry out whatever she's been paid to do by Saudi Arabia, Goldman Sachs/JPMC, Zionists everywhere, and the TPP/ TTIP contingent.

But hey, if you want to get fucked in the ass by secret trade tribunals, the IMF and BIS, the deep-state military-industrial complex and their think-tank apologists who are EVEN NOW whinging that we have "too much democracy", feel free to vote for Hillary!
