Let me just point out that the author left out vital relevant facts in the opinion piece. Doing that is known as cherry-picking. And whether you do that in the news, in discussion, in debate or in opinion, when you distort the facts, you've changed the nature of your communication into propaganda. But WE don't have any of THAT in the US, do we?!

"Why Trump Can't be a Moderate"

First of all, it said everything I already said about Trump. That he's hypomanic most of the time, and a narcissist.

Who cares? I never thought or said that Trump's personality would become more "moderate"and I'm not sure I'd want him to be. Are you still trying to vote a reassuring mommy or daddy into office?

When you vote for President, you're not voting for a single person, you're voting for the people who are backing that person. "Moderate" Hillary is going to drift her way into war with Russia. That should be more concerning to you. It certainly concerns me!

I think it's time you disabused yourself of that pleasant little fairy tale about our fearless leaders being some sort of surrogate daddy or mommy, laying awake at night thinking about how to protect the kids. Embedded metadata within the document indicate that it was created by a Democratic strategist named Warren Flood on December 19th, 2015. Gawker, which obtained a copy of the document, stated that it had been forwarded to them by “Guccifer 2.0,” a name used by a now-imprisoned Romanian hacker who hacked American politicians in 2013.

The hacker who emailed Gawker asserted that the document in question was “just a few docs from many thousands I extracted when hacking into DNC’s network,” adding that he also had “about 100 Gb of data including financial reports, donors’ lists, election programs, action plans against Republicans, personal mails, etc.”

The “Donald Trump Report” was ahead of the curve, as at the time it was compiled none of the GOP primaries had been held and there was no certainty that Trump would be the GOP nominee. The document encompasses seven different approaches to dealing with Trump:

1. “Trump has no core”: The document asserts, “One thing is clear about Donald Trump, there is only one person he has ever looked out for and that’s himself. Whether it’s American workers, the Republican Party, or his wives, Trump’s only fidelity has been to himself and with that he has shown that he has no problem lying to the American people. Trump will say anything and do anything to get what he wants without regard for those he harms.”

2. Trump is running a “divisive and offensive campaign”: The document states, “Donald Trump is running a campaign built on fear-mongering, divisiveness, and racism … Trump’s campaign rallies have become a reflection of the hateful tone of his campaign, with protestors being roughed up and audience members loudly calling for violence.

3. Trump is a “bad businessman”: The document notes, “(Trump) has repeatedly run into serious financial crises in his career and his record raises serious questions about whether he is qualified to manage the fiscal challenges facing this country … his company’s record of forcing people from their homes to make room for developments and outsourcing the manufacturing of his clothing line to take advantage of lower-wage countries like China and Mexico. His insight about the marketplace has proven wrong many times… Trump’s record of irresponsible and reckless borrowing to build his empire – behavior that sent his companies into bankruptcy four times – is just one indication of how out-of-touch he is with the way regular Americans behave and make a living”

4. Trump champions “dangerous & irresponsible policies”: His “rhetoric is dangerous – but his actual agenda could be a catastrophe.”

5. Trump is the “misogynist in chief”: “Through both his words and actions, Trump has made clear he thinks women’s primary role is to please men. Trump’s derogatory and degrading comments to and about women, as well as his tumultuous marriages, have been well publicized.”

Wow! I don't believe you. Listen to Trump talk. Pay attention to how he answers a question. Why would you give Trump any power?

Trump acts like he's back in the Celebrity Apprentice boardroom playacting a tough guy for the cameras. He declares that he will get "unbelievable intelligence"; he will "get rid of ISIS big league"; and he will "wipe them out." But when Lesley Stahl repeatedly asks him about ground troops, he repeatedly says this isn't in the cards. Maybe NATO will do it. Maybe other Arab countries will do it. Maybe troops will magically appear from a genie's bottle. Even though Trump claims that we're at war and President Obama is too weak and stupid to get it, in the end he basically endorses what Obama is doing right now. Like all the other armchair generals, he doesn't have the backbone to risk taking an unpopular stand, even if it's the only thing that would actually make a significant difference.

And when he's done with this empty blather, what does Mike Pence say? "This is the kind of leadership America needs."
