I'm an 'anybody but Hillary' kind of voter
What I'm hearing:
1. Hillary is evil incarnate
2. Hillary is a continuation of Obama
And what I'm thinking:
1. Some of us quite like Obama (+50% approval rating)
2. Logic would have it that if Hillary is evil incarnate AND a continuation of Obama, then Obama must be evil incarnate as well. But I don't recall Siggy and kiki arguing so vehemently against him in '08 or '12, saying 'anybody but Obama'.
Conclusion: Siggy and Kiki are more excited about Trump, a racist, sexist, pro-gun, pro-nuclear, climate change denier with a tax plan to slash taxes on the rich, than any presidential nominee of either of the main parties for decades.
My question to you two would be, what's to like about this candidate, that you are willing to sell out so many of your purported principles to support him? It wouldn't be his cosying up to Putin would it?

Very true, and two of many reasons they want Trump is because he will damage our country and our relationships with our allies. He will also be lost on issues of global politics, an advantage for Putin.

Bonsai or Banzai was a celebratory cheer.

Quote:Then you have a faulty memory. I was cautiously for Obama in 2008, but after he showed his true nature (quisling, coward, sellout) I argued against Obama, and voted against him in 2012, and said so, quite often, on this board.

In fact, as best as I recall, you weren't even HERE on RWE in 2008. So maybe you're just a big fat liar. Or a State Department/ CIA bot.
ETA: So altho KPO has been a member of FFF.net since 2005, he wasn't posting in RWE in 2008, according to the 5 pages that I surveyed. YEP, KPO = big fat liar. Wood'a thunk?
BTW, this is what I said about Obama in 2008
Quote:
When Obama said "It's not about the rich versus the poor" he totally lost my vote because that's exactly what it's about. It's all about money. It's always been about money.

You'll note, it's not exactly a ringing endorsement.

"Unfortunately for Republicans, no secretary of state ever used a state.gov email account ..."
Unfortunately for Hillary, NEW email rules came in effect the year she took office - rules she flouted then and has lied about ever since.
http://www.cnn.com/2016/05/25/politics/state-department-report-faults-
clinton-over-email-use/
But while the report acknowledges personal email use by previous secretaries, it also notes that the rules for preserving work emails sent from a personal email account were updated in 2009, the year Clinton took office.
Let me just point out that the author left out vital relevant facts in the opinion piece. Doing that is known as cherry-picking. And whether you do that in the news, in discussion, in debate or in opinion, when you distort the facts, you've changed the nature of your communication into propaganda. But WE don't have any of THAT in the US, do we?!

And once again, you and your ghost writer have strawmanned my post.
My concerns are VERY FOCUSED on Hillary's neo-CON agenda in the international sphere. I don't care about her persona on stage, the fact that she's a woman (and what an abysmally sexist reason to vote for someone), or even that she's for all those 'free' trade agreements as long as no one's looking.
When you can address WHAT I POST instead of trying to attribute arguments to me maybe I'll get around to attempting a discussion. But frankly, I've been waiting for a few years and you're still the same old lying asshole you've always been.

kiki - And meanwhile, to understand the role of capitalism in improving life FOR THE MASSES you'll note here that the greatest gains in life expectancy in China - for women from 45 to 63, and for men from 44 to 64 - came between the years 1950 and 1972.

Stunning Emails Reveal How Clinton Foundation Donor Bought Seat As Hillary's Nuclear Weapons Advisor
Quote:
It has been widely speculated, if not proven, that donors to the Clinton Foundation who over the years have transferred hundreds of millions of dollars to the "charitable organization", bought political favors with the Clintons in exchange for their generosity.
That has now been confirmed thanks to a stunning ABC report which reveals how a major foundation donor - one who previously had practically no experience on intellgience matters - mysteriously ended up as a nuclear weapons advisor to Hillary during her tenure as Secretary of State.
Worse, the person in question Rajiv K. Fernando, had been the head of a high frequency trading company, Chopper Trading ... bought a seat to not only have advance knowledge of all US foreign policy, but to directly shape it, something he could then parlay in the forms of massive policy frontrunning profits thanks to his trading company.
Just as shocking was the aggressive retaliation [MORE LIKE AGGRESSIVE STALLING - SIGNY] with which the State Department tried to cover up the cronyism that literally "bought" Fernando's seat as one of Hillary's closest political advisors and how - as a result of ongoing media pressure - Fernando just as mysteriously resigned only days after his appointment was announced when the State Department was unable to come up with a legitimate reason for him to stay on.
The article then goes on to describe the WTF? moments that both members of the International Security Advisory Board AND the State Department had when asked to explain ... Why is this man sitting here?
Quote:
“We had no idea who he was,” one board member told ABC News.... when ABC News first contacted the State Department in August 2011 seeking a copy of his resume, the emails show that confusion ensued among the career government officials who work with the advisory panel.
The appointment qualified Fernando for one of the highest levels of top secret access, the emails show. ... The newly released emails reveal that after ABC News started asking questions in August 2011, a State Department official who worked with the advisory board couldn’t immediately come up with a justification for Fernando serving on the panel. ... By this point, Fernando himself had been looped into the discussion. He and Hartman exchanged emails, but the entire text of Fernando’s letter was redacted by the State Department prior to its release ...
... for a mere $1-$5 million sunk cost, one can buy influence, and inside information, which - in this specific case - can then be traded and generate hundreds of millions in profits, an IRR that is too big for Excel to calculate ...

Quote:You must not be familiar with the US Constitution. (I guess neither of you are American citizens.) Where does it say in the Constitution that the USA is a "capitalist" nation? And have you read any of the Founding Fathers' statements on corporations, and banks?
Let's not forget who are the biggest anti-Capitalists here.
FOUNDING FATHERS ON BANKS
Quote:
And I sincerely believe, with you, that banking establishments are more dangerous than standing armies; and that the principle of spending money to be paid by posterity, under the name of funding, is but swindling futurity on a large scale. - Thomas Jefferson
Bank-paper must be suppressed, and the circulating medium must be restored to the nation to whom it belongs."- Thomas Jefferson
Paper money has had the effect in your state that it will ever have, to ruin commerce, oppress the honest, and open the door to every species of fraud and injustice.- George Washington
Banks have done more injury to the religion, morality, tranquility, prosperity, and even wealth of the nation than they can have done or ever will do good.- John Adams
All the perplexities, confusion and distress in America arise not from defects in the Constitution or Confederation, not from a want of honor or virtue so much as from downright ignorance of the nature of coin, credit and circulation.” – John Adams
Abraham Lincoln said
Quote:
The money powers prey upon the nation in times of peace and conspire against it in times of adversity. The banking powers are more despotic than a monarchy, more insolent than autocracy, more selfish than bureaucracy. They denounce as public enemies all who question their methods or throw light upon their crimes. I have two great enemies, the Southern Army in front of me and the bankers in the rear. Of the two, the one at my rear is my greatest foe.
FOUNDING FATHERS ON CORPORATIONS
Quote:
...a vast accession of strength from their younger recruits, who, having nothing in them of the feelings or principles of ’76, now look to a single and splendid government of an aristocracy, founded on banking institutions, and monied incorporations under the guise and cloak of their favored branches of manufactures, commerce and navigation, riding and ruling over the plundered ploughman and beggared yeomanry - Thomas Jefferson
I hope that we shall crush in its birth the aristocracy of our monied corporations, which dare already to challenge our government to a trial of strength, and bid defiance to the laws of our country.”- Thomas Jefferson
The power of all corporations ought to be limited, […] the growing wealth acquired by them never fails to be a source of abuses.”- James Madison
.... “the selfish spirit of commerce (that) knows no country, and feels no passion or principle but that of gain.= Thomas Jefferson
Government is instituted for the common good; for the protection, safety, prosperity, and happiness of the people; and not for profit, honor, or private interest of any one man, family, or class of men; therefore, the people alone have an incontestable, unalienable, and indefeasible right to institute government; and to reform, alter, or totally change the same, when their protection, safety, prosperity, and happiness require it.= John Adams
