Other than the trailer, I've not paid any attention to this series.

What's the deal here ? Are we talking prequel to The Avengers story line, or what ?

SHIELD vs. HYDRA - Hope Joss and Co. throw in some of the old Marvel drawing concepts from the early days of Shield. I don't remember the guys name right now, I have to look into it, but they were some of the best drawings and added to the intrigue/action.

I hope, at some point, they go into the history of Shield.....Sgt. Fury, etc. Cool stuff!

I've just started watching the DVDs. So far I've seen the first 8 episodes, and I'm loving it! I especially love the interplay between Bobbi and Hunter; oh, it's been done many, many times before, it's true - the whole love-hate thing - but with those two...has anyone noticed whst a terrific combat team they make?

And with Bobbi, Joss is clearly still on his 'powerful ladies' jag, and long may it continue - I preferred her as a brunette, but she's magnificent!

There has been talk about them getting a spinoff show of their own.
I'm guessing an episode of AOS will act as a backdoor pilot this season.

After watching - and utterly loving - the rest of the DVDs, when the cliffhanger happened my first response was an Obi-Wan-type "NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!" - because we all know what happens to shows with terrific cliffhangers: they get cancelled! I offer The Sarah Connor Chronicles and Alphas as examples.

So imagine my profound joy/relief when I consulted Wikipedia and discovered there is a third season! Yay!
