Catching Fireflies
Completely random pic, but I figured it'd sit well with everyone, bunch of moonbrains that we are. Here's my persona (some crazy made-up animal)...catching a Firefly and claiming it as my own, so the other fireflies won't host a revolt and take it from me. I can see it now...
Me: Ah! Curse your sudden but inevitable betrayal!

My Little Pony and Firefly: Now that's a fun mix.
Okay, so instead of updating my fic, I've been drawing ponies. *ducks* Anyway, I needed to come up with a screen name and a pony for a website...that...has ponies...Whatever, I'm a collector. So, inspired by the coolest show ever, I came up with River Breeze, the crazy karate pony. Her symbol is a flying albatross over a river (creative, no?) And hey, Summer likes ponies, so this one's for you, Summer!
The reason she has two colors is because 1) I love both color schemes, so I decided to be a fence sitter and have both. And 2) River herself has dual personalities, too, right? The white is the carefree, barefoot, dancing River, and the black is...well, everything else! Dark, dangerous, a little touched in the head, etc. I wanted to have the wingtips black like an albatross, and the socks black like her stylish combat boots.
You know she's cute.

Sorry about the first pic. Fluke. So I *finally* fixed my scanner and uploaded these random doodles I found all over various notebooks. The first one (counter clock-wise) is from back in November just days after I first saw Serenity. Next is River eating with Wash. The next is my fav with River pouring her soup over Jayne, and Book catching her in the act. The one below is just River studying for my final, lol. To the right is River piloting, and a comical ship holding up a "Help!" sign while a Reaver junker chases it. Above that one is a little Albatross. And the last one above that is River in her Safe outfit, looking at my illegible handwriting! These pics were drawn tiny, like 2 inches tall, so ignore the crappyness. I promise I'm a better artist, but math notes make easy drawing time!
