Sepia-Tone Crew Photo

Friday, January 27, 2006

My first image submission. :) Had a couple sketches I wanted to put out, but my scanner's busted. This one's from messing around on the computer. Nothing special, just an idea I was messing around with tying into the Wild West influnce. I won't even try to compete with some of the amazing talent I've come across on this site. :P

Wow, it actuallt looks like it was taken in the old west. I wish photostudio has sepia-tone, but it doesn't.

did anyone else think for a sec that
this pic was an mphillips drawing when
they first saw the thumbnail?

Great effect! I love the little details.

On a personal note: I really tried to get the feel for GIMP a few times now but I always surrendered.

Sure enough, I was certain this was another example of mphillips magic.

Great work nuclearday!

much thanks for the encouragement, and I'll take any comparisons to mphillips, however undeserved they may be :) i'm a big fan, not to mention that everytime I check this site he's got another pic up...

CBY: yeah, GIMP took me some time to get used to. only went with it for the free factor. think there is a mod out there that gives it more of a photoshop setup (though best to just get Photoshop if you can afford it of coutse.)
