It had been more than a month since the monkey hump that the universe called Miranda, and things were still unsettled with the folks aboard Serenity.

Jayne closed his eyes and lay back in his bunk. His hand rubbed absently over the hair on his stomach and he let the image of her fill his head. There she was, just like that day.

Woozy with blood loss and jacked up on adrenaline from the fight, he coulda blamed it on a lot of things, but it wasn’t the worst he’d ever been shot up. Those blast doors had opened and she’d just stood there, that big pile of bodies all around her, and he couldn’t help it. His John Thomas had perked up more than a little. Before that moment, she’d been a bratty kid, a lot crazy, and dangerous to boot. His mind kept replaying that vision in his head, that and the following minutes, when the wall behind her crumbled and the light flared behind her, and she became his patron angel of violence. Reality had intruded just then, in the form of those gorramn feds.

He knew she was down in the infirmary helping out her brother, so she wouldn’t be picking up any stray thoughts, so he let his head relive the way she’d looked while his hand started getting real friendly down below. Soaked down with blood, her dress’d stuck to her with the sweat of battle, hair down around her face, and she was the sexiest thing he’d ever seen. He’d always loved dangerous things. His mind did what his body had said to do that day, kneel at her feet, rubbing his face on her stomach and smelling his way up to her neck. He pulled her tight against his body and let her feel what her violence had done to him. Hands stroked up her thighs to cup her ass and pull that skinny little body against his. In his head, he felt her legs wrap around him and the world fell away as he carried her to the wall and drove into her again and again, both of them growling like animals fighting for dominance over the other.

When he came, he felt the stars behind his eyes wipe out her image, and he growled with the fa

Nice... very nice!

Actually, I've never read any fics that have Jayne with River because of the events in Serenity, it's a pretty good idea!

Hopefully they'll get together!

Yes, this has been done before, but no reason not to make your own contribution. *g* I liked your imagery-- not too subtle, not too graphic. I especially liked that your Jayne accepts that River can never be his. Unusual take on that idea. *g*

Lost my breath at this, Sam, "Jayne closed his eyes and lay back in his bunk. His hand rubbed absently over the hair on his stomach and he let the image of her fill his head." Jayne at his best, just the way I like to see him.

River as the blast doors opened, River's dress sticking to her on account a' Reaver blood she took. River's body worshipped by Jayne, heedless of their audience. I loved him acknowledging her "skinny body" that was so perfect, and her being his patron angel. Gods, good stuff. And when he took her to the wall and the pounding commenced? I wished I had a bunk close by to go to and take him with me.

Poetry is what you write, babe. Only thing wrong with this is that I wish there were more of it. Got more? Tell me there's more you have to say about Jayne and River, about Jayne and anybody. Hell, about Jayne all alone and thinking some more! I'm not gonna let you forget how good I think your writing is.

And hey! I woulda been honored if you'd seen fit to dedicate like you wanted to. Sigh. It'd be shiny to think I inspired you even a little bit. Love ya, Sam, and love THIS. Keep it flyin'.

OOPS! Sorry, Sam. Anonymous up there is ItsaWash, lol. In case you couldn't tell already from the extreme wordiness and gushing style.

Since I have another opportunity to write more now, did I mention that I want more of this or more of ANYTHING you write?

Love, ItsaWash.

WOW! *fans self* GUH!

Jayne/hand fics should be CANON I tell you! Especially if it can't be Rayne. Cause this was all manner of hawt.

Laughing evilly at Jayne's folly. He REALLY thinks he can just go back to the status quo? Go back to business as usual: being rude to her and calling her names? *snort* Good luck with that, Jayne. I admire your intentions but...*shakes head* DOOOMED

(FYI: I wrote a short one called "Hello Sexy" but I haven't explored anything after the doors opened--I still have 90 something prompts to fulfill (!) so I wanted to spread it out. Great (?) Minds Think Alike: You used "patron angel of violence" and I used Death Goddess/Revenging Angel."
