“Catch me when I fall.” As she jumped down, she landed on her feet.

“You didn’t catch me,” she said, as she looked over her shoulder with her beautiful eyes up at Jayne with an almost sad look on her face.

All there faces were shocked that she didn’t hurt herself or die.

“Now you can see my past,” she said, looking at River. River nodded and Mal felt dizzy and collapsed onto the floor.

“Where are we? It’s so black,” Mal said, looking into the never ending darkness.

“Is there anyone there?” Zoe asked the blackness.

“Zoe, where are we?” Mal said.

“Captain,” Kaylee said, “why can’t we see anything?”

“Because where in her mind,” River’s voice said in the dark.

“Why is it so dark?” Jayne said.

“Because that’s what she feels, we’re in her mind,” River said.

“But don’t you already know what’s in her mind and what she feels?” Simon asked.

“Yes, but I always wanted to play with her mind,” River said with a giggle.

“You’re not going to play with anything.” Jazz’s voice was soft yet stern, “Now you can see what I see, through my eyes.”

The blackness changed into a picture of a women lying on the ground half dead. And they saw all of what Jazz saw.

Much later Mal began to wake.

“I had the worst dream, but that wasn’t a dream, was it?” he asked to himself in a low voice as he stood up. Jayne also began to wake up.

“Jayne, wake up,” Mal said, standing over Jayne.

“Ruttin hell, Mal. Don’t stand over me,” Jayne said as he pushed Mal out of the way.

“Zoe, Wash, Kaylee, you okay? Inara you okay?”

“Yes cap’n, but I have a Ruttin major headache,” Kaylee said as she stood up slowly.

“Where is Jazz and River?” Simon asked, looking at Kaylee’s face.

“Up here,” Jazz said, looking down at them with a cheeky smile.

“What are you doing up there?” Book asked, getting up slowly.

“Just watching,” she said with another cheeky smile as she watched Jayne get up.

“Now you know my past,” she said to Mal as she walked down the stairs

“Your past is terrible,” Kaylee said with a sad face, like she was go

cool. i liked it. at least now everyone knows what jazz went through. now they will finally understand her.
