Can't believe I didn't post this already. This is made from scratch out of MDF and PVC, using mostly a router and a scroll saw. I'll have the whole costume together for Salt Lake Comic Con.

I bet ya I could make one of thse out of an M-4 reciver group. It looks like it would be pretty easy to make on that operates.

This is mighty shiny stuff...though if one wants a working replica, a Saiga 12K is the technically correct answer ;P

Yes, the Saiga 12K would be fantastic, but there are two problems: First, can't take a real gun to Comic-Con; Second, I'm cheap, and this was mostly made from scraps that I already had.

Summer Glau as an Elf
