I think someone has chicken and eggs on the brain. Mal I think sometimes is as crazy as River. The River Saf moment was nice. The Mal and Jayne moment was punfully painful. :)

Just a hen party. Couple of odd birds flapping their beaks, for now. Let them go at it and feathers will fly. But you just can't keep a psy-chick down, Saffron is formidable but compared to River she's poultry.

I absolutely LOVED River running rings around the sneaky, duplicitous and trouble making Saffron. How wonderful to finally get one up on Saffron and catch her out with planting her little 'toys'. I hope Mal and Co find the others and that Kaylee can work out what in the nine hells they are meant to do because we all know it is going to be nothing good. As for all the punny egg jokes it made me smile when towards the end of Mal joshing with Jayne, he was joining in. Have to also say I loved Bytemite's end comment that "Saffron is formidable but compared to River she's poultry!" Very funny, Ali D :~)

Nutluck, what can I say? I did issue a pun warning at the beginning of this story. But if you find it's just pun-ish-ment to read... ;-) Anyways, it's clear that Bytemite is the true pun expert here. "She's poultry"! ha ha ha. Glad you all enjoyed seeing River get the better of Saffron. Ali, you're quite right, we know Saffron is up to no good. @Nutluck: good news, next chapter is pretty much pun-free.
