Thank you for your patience in waiting for this story (Nutluck, I'm talking to you! ;-) ). Now the fall-out from the Trial begins. Love to have your comments, readers--it makes my day. So don't be shy about writing something.

Luckly RL had me extra busy the past few days so I couldn't settle in front of the computer and keep hitting refresh for the next update. BTW where's the next part? I mean it's been over 6 hours already.

Cattle, love it! What’s up with Harrow and livestock?

Oh, very nice ending, they make it so hard to do the simplest of things like apologize for hurting the other. Mal and Inara have trust issues, coupled with insecurities, magnified by communication difficulties. They’re really a therapist’s life work when framed in the context of a serial show, and I often wonder if that’s what we were to see; the actual development of a functioning intimate relationship which starts so clearly dysfunctional, but with obvious under tones of a deep love for one another.

Looking for more.

So pleased to see you posted another chapter and really glad Mal is out of jail and the crew is all together. I like that they have a job lined up with Lord Harrow again and am sure had Mal asked him he could have got an advance up front to pay for fuel, food, parts and such. As for Mal and Inara at the end I really liked the prickly truthsomeness of those scenes and especially how, the end of it, they both realised they had something to apologise and duly did so. As for Ip, I am hoping he really is good. Have a feeling River would have spotted the deception if he wasn't. Ali D :~)

It's been 3 days, where's the next part? I am not that busy this week, so I will be watching for it...

I'll post it tomorrow, Nutluck. I'm trying to be disciplined about the rate of posting because, much as I am addicted to posting and feedback, I'm not keeping up with the rate of writing, and my lead-time on having the stories ready for posting is evaporating. I have been really, really stalled on story #12 for about 8 weeks now, and I count on having a few months' lead time because I always go back and revise the story I'm about to post based on events in future stories. With the way I write, it's the only way I can work in foreshadowing, and it really helps with plot, which is my weak point as a writer. In the meantime, any Plot Bunnies anyone wants to send my way will be gratefully received.

So your saying you need to quit your job and move into my basement chained to a computer, so nothing distracts you from writing fanfic? :)

Well it is not officially tomorrow... my time anyways. So like where is it? :)
