My cheer never dies

So I tell you the truth--

You’ve donned quite the disguise.

The look that you’ve got

Will fool them right through

And the low–downed-est scoundrel

Never tell that it’s you.

We might even get paid

Before we get caught

You’re a grumpy old man

That to tell them I ought.

But your looks they can change

And my laugh never lies,

When I tell them my Captain

Turned Ol’ Puppy Eyes!
