Loved this and was so happy that Marcus didn't fall victim to that twisted madman. It was actually a kindness in the end putting him down, he was that damaged and dangerous. So happy that with his passing Adam is able to sleep properly and dream childhood dreams. Thanks for a shiny story! Look forward to the next one you write once you have got your breath back. Glad that part is over finally. Should be interesting when that inspector finally finds the body. But I would much rather read about the fluffy wedding!

Thank you for keeping Robert at the forefront of the personalities for the final scene - if Bobby had appeared I don't think Marcus could have pulled the trigger, and I don't know that Adam would have been able to recover near as easily. And puppies? I wonder if Mal's going to wake up to see a pair of tiny, sparkling eyes peering at him?
Now ... to the wedding!
Now ... to the wedding!

Shooo! What an-edge of your seat, scary as hell, creepifying, yet all's well that ends well kind of tale! I surely do hope we get to see the wedding of the century with Mal presiding, and I know I would not be adverse to some more adventures with the crews of Serenity and the Hit or Miss! Excellent story. Thank you for sharing with us.
