Hey, you're back!!!

I like this - River is disjointed, and can't understand herself, despite her incredible intelligence. Mal, on the other hand, isn't stupid but sees people pretty much as they are, and he sees her and not what they made her.

Good job, slumming, and don't leave it too long before you upload again!

Slumming, I already wrote most of my comments on this story over at fanfiction, but I wanted to reiterate how much I like this story--especially on a second or third reading--because although it _seems_ stream-of-consciousness and disjointed, as a writer you have actually included a great many elements that connect and make it coherently written. (And therefore a cut above some of the other River POV's I've read ;-) ) I have a River stream-of-consciousness scene in one of my upcoming fics (a work-in-progress at the moment), and you've inspired me to go take another look at it and see if it hangs together as well as this. Thanks so much for posting, and I hope you'll keep it up and give us lots of new fics...I enjoyed your other fics so much.

I'm unsure if any of the kind reviewers of this story have received PM's from me, but I assure you I have responded. For some reason, I no longer get a notification when a new review comes in.
