That last bit was so scary. I may have nightmare.
I think you got the pain of broken bones right. I've had 3, 2 toes and my left arm. t is a pain that's indescribable and it continues even as it heals. At least Simon has Elizabeth's equipment to help.

Good to see Simon in control of the doctoring. Poor Marcus, I understand his anger and his need for revenge but wish he would take someone like Bear or Jayne with him. It's a shame Marcus didn't see Robert's face or that River wasn't able to describe his features to him but knowing what ship he is travelling in must help. And with Simon using the infirmary on the Hit and Miss, which ship will Marcus take - especially as right now he doesn't legally own either of them? Good to hear Mal and Simon conversing and to know the Captain's sarcasm came through his ordeal intact. LOL. Ali D :~)

I feel slightly happier now everyone's on the healing path .. but I won't be completely content until someone kills than hundan. *shudder*

Trouble is, killing Robert kills the others also inside. Unfortunately, I don't see an option. And as for River not going with Marcus, didn't he ever hear of stowaways?

Sympathy for the devil versus Situational Ethics. WWYD? Premeditated murder disguised as citizen's arrest and justifiable homicide in self-defense. This vigilante cliche built Hollywood.
Can't rely on incompetant police(?), or else Mal could send a wave of Robert's description and ship ID by criminal complaint, with millions of eyes searching the Verse. It'd be nice to see an improvement in the human condition after a 2nd War for Independence. But govt is always a cancer on society, as Joss seems to say.
The only way to ensure the death penalty for a serial killer with multiple personality is to DIY. In Earthside and interplanetary courts, Robert would be Not Guilty of murder by reason of insanity.
Then govt psyops could "study" him at their leisure. When "cured" he could be released, for employment by a post-Alliance syndicate.
After all, MPD is the official formula for manufacturing Manchurian Candidates. Ask Charlie Manson. Hint to horror scriptwriters:

Glad there is some healing going on. Would somebody please tell Marcus that going alone is a dumb idea? I think you've got storylines you haven't tugged on yet, and they're all very interesting. Looking forward to more.
