Hey, I'll admit that there are some occasional similarites, insignificant as they may be. Sci-fi is Sci-fi. Some shows/movies are simply of a different caliber. Firefly/Serenity equipment has that "space-age yet used" look, as did the original Star Wars trilogy, to name one inconsequential similarity. (though even that quality was all but abandoned in the latest trilogy) A plucky, non-conformist, occasionally complicated leading man, another. I ship of questionable mechanical integrity, sure. But where's the fun without that?

Anyway, one major difference, thank any god you believe in: Jar Jar Binks! Sorry, George, but it's really hard to forgive you for that one.
