Written for Kaynara who wanted to read a story where Simon fumbles with Kaylee’s bra.
Takes place after the film.
Yeah, its short. It's all I could squeeze out of my widdle brain at the moment. I need to get back to working on my much longer, sequel to Serenity, fic . . .
Thanks to Tamsibling for the bata.

Simon gnashed his teeth in frustration. "Why is this so difficult?"
Muffled, Kaylee's voice answered, "Ain't difficult, you're just not used to -"
Simon hurried to refute her claim - probably a bit too quickly. "I have done this before, Kaylee."
"Coulda fooled me," came an equally frustrated retort laced with clearly identifiable amusement.
"If you'd -"
"You're supposed to be good with them hands, doctor Tam," Kaylee wiggled a bit and turned her head just in time to see Simon's eyes roll into the back of his head at the friction generated by her not-so-innocent movement.
"I could do this if you weren't squirming around so much."
"You like it when I -"
When those hands she loved so much came down heavily on her hips and held her in place, she closed her mouth and bit her lip. With every inch of him pressed intimately against her, most coherent thought fled her brain and she simply locked her eyes with his, mouth watering.
"Stop. Moving." He whispered against the corner of her mouth just as his hands slid up her bare back and tightly grasped the offending garment. He tugged but it still didn't budge.
Kaylee dropped her head to his shoulder, wrapped her arms around his neck and began giggling.
"I'm never going to live this down, am I?" Simon whispered, defeated.
Taking pity on him, Kaylee lifted her head and pressed her lips to his ear. "There's lotsa things you're good at, sweetie. This just don’t happen to be one of ‘em." In one fluid motion - that Simon would never have been able to follow if it was repeated for him a hundred times over, Kaylee reached one hand behind her back, nimbly unfast
You can't take the sky from me
And of course, Kaylee bailing him out is just sexy and sweet - I wonder though how exactly they ended up in such a compromising position in such a public place - could there by a sequel perhaps? I'd love to see someone walk in.
And what exactly is Mal so intent to "show" Inara? I think I know, but it'd be shiny if you'd explain! :op
Anyway, Kaylee's a wiggly little thing.
Jayne would never have a problem with a bra, LMAO!!!
Anyway, the interplay between Mal/Inara
is really the gem here, as I don't seem to remember ever reading something you wrote about the two of them...and c'mon
Leia, Inara never teaching amatuers? LOL, priceless!!
Great as always....
1) SEQUEL!!!
2) I am with Simon concering the construction of female undergaments being completely wonky
3) Definitely loved the Mal/Inara banter...especially Inara's last line to Mal
4) Was totally waiting for Mal to Zorro Inara's bra (i.e. secretly get it open without her noticing)...but I was left disappointed. Oh well;)
BEB
but...you do get bonus point for use of the phrase 'ample bosom.'
and i love this: "There's lotsa things you're good at, sweetie. This just don’t happen to be one of ‘em."
-heh, pays to know your strengths, I guess.
as for mal and inara...just perfect. especially her parting blow.
I also feel the need to quote TamSibling's comment 'cause LOL: "Not much reason to believe he'd be all that skilled." Poor Simon hehe.
And Mal and Inara? Excellent dialogue - I love it!
"I don't teach amateurs."
That cracked me up.
"I don't teach amateurs."
LOVE IT!!! GREAT JOB! And did someone say something about a sequel.....
""You're supposed to be good with them hands, doctor Tam," Kaylee wiggled a bit and turned her head just in time to see Simon's eyes roll into the back of his head at the friction generated by her not-so-innocent movement." ----- ooo, kaylee girl, of course she'd do this! and i love what she says, totally.
"His mouth instantly dry, though his addled brain would never have been able to form words anyway, Simon leaned back and let his eyes travel down her slender neck to her ample bosom, momentarily forgetting that they were sitting on the couch, in the middle of the common room - in a very public place." ------ oooOOOooo!!! hehehe, she's doing a good job working the proper out of him :D
" She turned away and said casually over her shoulder, "I don't teach amateurs."" -----Hahahaha!! Oh that's so purely inara!!
i loved that mal and inara were spying, so funny. another great job leia! keep it up! :)
