Jayne’s Bunk 1/1
It ain’t often that the others are out on a job for more’n a day or two. This time around, we’re set down on the ass-end of Greenwood, in a stretch of God-forsaken land that proves whoever named the place hadn’t done much explorin’.
The Cap’n, Zoë an’ Jayne took the second shuttle out day before yesterday, headed for a little heist in the one decent sized settlement on this side of the world. The plan was for ‘em to have a day or two to suss out the routine, make sure our informant was dealin’ straight, then hit the place early, right at openin’ time.
We’ve had enough jobs go wrong of late that I can’t help bein’ more’n a little nervous, an’ I keep pesterin’ Wash as to whether he’s heard anything from ‘em. Cap told us to keep radio silence much as possible, so ain’t like we can call and ask why they’re late. Just gotta figure something went awry. Oh, I know they’re pretty good at gettin’ themselves outta trouble, but they’re near ‘bout as good at getting’ into it. Used to be, I was so green, I didn’t really appreciate the risks we were up against. Ain’t that way no more.

Mighty fine work you did here, hisgoodgirl! Definitely had Jayne and Kaylee in characters (nice to see she has some lingering guilt over her decision to pursue Jayne, since she would feel bad about it) and you certainly got the skills with smut;)
Gotta say though...kinda surprised you didn't have Kaylee make a bigger fuss when Jayne turned down her request to sleep next to his guns to avoid the wet spot. I would have guessed should would have at least tried to argue a bit...but it ain't my tale to tell, now is it?
