Okay, first attempt at river. Automatic and HB pencil. Scene is from episode 'Serenity' when she just woke up. I swear, I seem to have problems drawing beautiful/handsome people. For my next picture, instead of Jayne I am going to draw Stitch Higgins in a lineup with a bunch of reavers. Tell me what you folk think. About this drawing, not my plans for for the next one...

Great expression, and hair. Its a pity there is the binding in the middle, because otherwise its great!

Binding aside, I think this is great! The nose is just a teeny bit long, but the detail on the hair is perfect, and you've duplicated her expression spot-on. I've never tried to draw any FF character, but I doubt I'd ever get 'em to look this detailed and realistic.

Wow great work there. i love the shading and i like the hair texture.... but i think its dry in the expression... I see the eyes how you captured the confuson but its lacking in the expresson of the visual face but for your first river its Shiney..

I agree with Steamer. If you shortened the face a bit acoss the line of the cheeks and the bridge of the nose it would be about perfect.
