First attemp at Kaylee, from the dinner scene in episode 'Serenity'. Done entirely with an automatic pencil, I was kinda terrified to draw this one because Kaylee is so pretty and I was worried of my drawing not capturing that beauty (see my 1st River drawing for my experience with that). I think it turned out kinda alright, but I want to know what you folk think.

Well now...you've definitely done some mighty fantastic work here, Jigman...though for some reason, Kaylee's facial expression seems something more akin to the Joker than what she usually wields. Guess it's how the pencil lines make her facial muscles seem in rictus than something natural;)

Still...it's a whole truckload better than I could ever turn out. Sides...I could be the lone dissenting voice in this;D

I agree that the mouth seems a bit askew, but you did a fabulous job capturing her escense.

Very well done. As has been mentioned, the mouth is slightly off, but I can see how that happened. Jewel has a slightly sardonic smile that slips to one side when she's making a wry comment, and it's very, very difficult to capture the depth properly, so it looks slightly crooked or misplaced.

Everything else is 100% perfect. You're a really good artist!

Book Drawing
First attempt at Book. All done in an HB mech. pencil. Shodows where a pain in this one, a shot from 'Bushwhacked' Book's hair was a complication as well. All in all though I think I got a likeness. Can't decide what to do next. Really want to take another crack at Mal or River, considering how badly I screwed them up in the past, but I still have not done Zoe, Simon, or Inara yet either. Let me know what you folk think.

Wash Drawing
Okay, first attempst at Wash. Once again, all automatic pencil. I was kinda happy with the way this one turned out, actually. Expression is from Jaynestown when he first sees the monument. Let me know what you folk think please.

Jayne Drawing
Ah, hell I better put this up before I totally overwork it. The scene is the flashback from OoG where Jayne gets hired by Mal at gunpoint. I tried to get the filth on his face to differ from shadows as best I could, but it got a little screwed up. This one was done entirely using an automatic pencil. Let me know what you folk think.

River Drawing
Okay, first attempt at river. Automatic and HB pencil. Scene is from episode 'Serenity' when she just woke up. I swear, I seem to have problems drawing beautiful/handsome people. For my next picture, instead of Jayne I am going to draw Stitch Higgins in a lineup with a bunch of reavers. Tell me what you folk think. About this drawing, not my plans for for the next one...

Malcolm Reynolds Drawing
Okay, first attempt at the Captain. Automatic pencil mainly, though I think I used a regular wood pencil once or twice. I personally hate how this turned out, but I learned a long time ago not to trust my own opinions, so I though I would see what you folk think.

Rutger Hauer
Okay, first time putting a thing in here. A thread on this site mentioned how cool Rutger Hauer would be as a character in the BDS, and that led me to make this when I got really bored one day. Gonna try and do some of the crew soon. Sorry if the flash reflected on some of the graphite, I do not have a scanner. Feedback would be appreciated.
