Allo, allo. I loved that pin-up picture of Jaynes and said if I found the image I would replicate it. So I did on an art site called 2draw. It's very much like painting (just digital art) and yes, it's all freehand. Now she doesn't look exactly like the original, and some things are slightly off squew, and I left out the peace symbol because it was the one thing I hated, funkified the background a little, but it's pretty good. Hope you like.

Glad you appreciate it. Mostly everyone who commented on the art site liked it too, then this regular who think she's the bees kness of the 2draw community ripped it apart by complaining about the hand arm and background. Upset me. Why is there always an a**hole at every site? I wouldn't have minded if she said what she did like about it, but all negative?

I like it! And considering it was freehand, this is amazing! Very nice, I've always liked the hand, made just the extra bit of ridiculous that it needs to have Jayne wearing it, but it's still very well-done!

If she was complaining about the background, then she obviously had never seen what you based this on. Otherwise she would have realized that it's an integral part of the piece.
Oh, and thanks for the permission to use this as a wallpaper. I should have asked instead of just assuming it would be OK. :) I was just so enthusiastic about it, and couldn't believe that at the time it had almost 300 views, and no one had commented.
I saw that bad review and thought it to be, besides almost unintelligible, a bit unfair. Looking at the porportions, I can see where maybe the upper part of the shoulder is a *bit* too big in relation to the rest of the arm, but overall the rest is so good that this is but a minor nit pick. Your coloration and shading on the figure are suberb, and I love how you did the hair.
I've always been a big fan of the Vargas and Petty pinups, (and love Olivia De Berardinis' modern day versions) and you "homage" more than does them justice.
Just ignore the haters...

Wow qwrty thanks, you bet I'll be ignoring her. My responce was very civil but from now on when and if she comments again she won't even be acknowledged. I think it's like an initiation for her. Apparantly according to another she doesn't comment on anything until she thinks your worthy or some such bull. If that's what it takes to be her friend, well I'd rather she left her high end nose off my pieces.
I left a ref for the picture to here so she saw it I'm sure, and if she didn't, well, like I said, she's just a ghost in the machine. *cheers* all.
