RANDOM SHINY MOMENT

Today I was perusing some of my mom's makeup in the bathroom so I could *coughcough* test it. I looked at this one eye shadow, it was new and nice so I thought "Shiny!" as I applied it. I looked on the back and guess what color they called it? "Serenity," no joke, I got so excited! And then I moved it to my room for, ummm, safe-keeping :D Thought I would share, I just like little moments like this. The brand was Lorac for those who are curious, and it's a nice pink/gold color.

Hmmm, where to start, I'll start with why I'm a fan of Firefly, or rather why I became a fan. When the movie Serenity came out I had never heard of Serenity or the Firefly world, my dad told me it was a show that had been cancelled so all I thought was that it was curious that it should be made into a movie. I didn't even see it in the theaters and decided that seeing Flightplan would be a better idea for my birthday (big mistake) and my parents saw Serenity. They came out saying it was great but I wasn't convinced, hearing that a 90 pound girl killed a bunch of people just sounded irrealistic and stupid honestly. Then it came out on dvd and my dad rented it, honestly I wasn't crazy about it, not knowing the whole back story, but to be honest, Nathan's hotness is what got me hooked. ;) I later saw Slither, decided Nathan was even hotter, and then father's day roled around. Well I knew my dad liked the show, and also that Nathan was hot, can I stress that enough? So I decided to buy it for him (best choice ever). He watched it without me, so I dragged it into my room and watched the entire series in 2 days. I was hooked. I started complaining and wondering why in the world it had been cancelled, something to brilliant and wonderful, it was horrible, so I rushed to my computer to find out more about it. I hadn't discovered this site yet, however, until I decided to start makign some wallpapers which I find incredibly fun, and I needed somewhere to post them, so I decided to do so here. I'm so glad I have finally found the Firefly community. It makes me feel honored to be around so many people who have a love for the same thing, and other people who are enruptured by the story. Well, that's my story, Browncoats unite!
