Morals of the Browncoats as expressed through the actions of Mal Reynolds. (observations from watching Firefly and Serenity) Not in order of importance. If i left anything out, or if you think there is something i should add please let me know. 1. The strong ought to protect the weak. 2. Man has a right to self rule. This is not to say there doesn't need to be laws. But these ought not to get in the way of freedom. 3. There are going to be those who abuse the law and his fellow man (meaning they will take advantage of the weak). When this happens it is the peoples responsibility to act, through Law and if need be, force. 4. Those who blindly follow are week and ought to be looked after. 5. You can't make people better. And you have no right to try. If they seek to make themselves better, then help in whatever way you can even if that is getting out of the way. 6. People have a right to protect what's theirs. Sometimes that means involving a third party to help. 7. Person wants to strike out on their own (they want to prove to themselves and others that they are no longer weak), that's their right. No one, no government, has the right to take that away from them. 8. Good work ought to be rewarded, not necessarily by monetary means, but rewarded. 9. The Strong, whether that is the government or some other entity (parents, church ect) ought to educate the weak, make them not sheep (this is talking about children and those who are looking to better themselves). Help them find their strength and make them ready to take their place in the world. 10. Might doesn't make right. Just cause the strong ought to protect educate and otherwise look after the weak, doesn't make them the end all and be all of morality or intelligence. 11. There are many different types of strength that a person can call to use in life to help them make their way. Physical strength, intelligence, cleverness, family and friends, charisma, and more. Just cause we have at least one of these naturally doesn't mean we can't learn to acquire another. 12. Freedom is an ideal worth fighting for.

Is there any chance they will bring the program back? So many fans liked it and are still loyal to the program.

Well, so far I've got mixed impressions of LOTW. It's nice to see more of the 'verse, to be sure, although I wish it, well....I wish it looked more like the 'verse we've all come to know and love so well. You know what I'm sayin'? Looks different, feels different. I suppose you could say that it is vastly different in the post-BDM world; thus I suppose it just comes as a shock to see Inara out of work and in bed with Mal, and Zoe....well, you know the rest. Having seen the preview for issue 4, now I really wish I hadn't stalled for so damn long on my own fanfic series. Issue 4 is going in almost the same exact direction I had planned for book 4 of The Old That Is Strong, and here I thought I was gonna be all original. Sigh. Life. (Well, if issues 5 and 6 don't go in quite the same direction I had planned, I'll survive.) However.... EEERRRRRGH!!!!! RIVER TORTURE!!! I can only stand so much of it, in fact I had to stop reading Virtual Firefly Season 2 because I just couldn't stand another sentence of what they were doing to poor River. Now that we're getting more of the same from LOTW there is only so much I can take before I stop having fuzzy River dreams and start having heartbreaking nightmares. (Note to self: go easy on the poor thing in your coming endeavours.) Just the same, the LOTW creators have somewhat redeemed themselves with....wait for it.... BADASS KAYLEE!!!! WOOHOO LOVE IIIIITTTTTT!!!! No, seriously, I literally clapped and laughed when she was giving Jubal a taste of his own medicine. Who'da thunk it of sweet, warm, cutie-pie Kaylee? As I say, the 'verse has changed. But if LOTW is hit with so much as a drop of Rayne before the end, I'll be lookin' to kill some folk. Just sayin'.

Marketers seem to have the idea that marketing on Facebook is easy. Just copy a paragraph out of a promotions email, pair it with a stock image, and presto, you have marketing, right? Maybe that was considered good work in the early days of Facebook, but its platform and users have evolved in the intervening years and these days marketers have to be a bit more creative. Toss out any lingering ideas that Facebook users are going to read long paragraphs or get captured by a generic picture. These days, smart imagery, little text, and daily posting is what’s going to get you more exposure on users’ news feeds. Image-based posts preferred David Serfaty, the director of social advertising for Matomy Media Group, explained, “[Facebook] is decreasing the exposure it gives to brands’ text-based posts in favor of image-based posts.” A good way of doing this is sharing links using link-share buttons usually found on article web pages. This function will allow Facebook to format the post in its most user-friendly and eye catching way. Photos paired with such links will then show up much larger on the news feed, which means the image you choose to go with blog posts or other articles need to be creative and high quality. Variety is key The nature of Facebook is it is constantly updating, moving forward, changing. Thus, marketers should have a variety of pictures and links to share in order to keep their brand’s image near the top of users’ news feeds. Serfaty said, “This is especially true for direct-response advertisers, who must rely on engaging, creative ads to entice a consumer into making a purchasing decision.” Audience customization Another important aspect of Facebook marketing to consider is the ability to customize your audience. When you pay for a Facebook ad, you can specify which devices and what sort of people will have the ad appear on their news feed. You can also target people who previously interacted with your brand with specific messages such as, “Come back for 10 percent off your next flight reservation.” Marketers could potentially have several versions of an ad targeting users at each stage of their buying cycles. A different option is to use Facebook’s Lookalike audiences, which finds users similar to people who have purchased from you or evinced interest in your products previously. Thus, as Serfaty noted, “A ‘create-an-ad-and-be-done-with-it’ mentality isn’t going to work.” Marketing News brought to you by PayPerCallMarket.com Source:  adage.com/article/digitalnext/facebook-marketers-smarter-creative/291719/
