Well, I know it took me a while, but I finally have in my possesion dvds of both firefly and serenity (as in I finally own them instead of renting them). Now the only problem I have is I can't decide which one to watch first.

Firefly has taken over my life. And I am loving every moment. I tell you, my fellow moonbrains, because you will understand. Firefly, Serenity, it's everywhere. Monday I went out with my husband for an evening. We had not had a night out alone since November. We went to one of those Japanese hibachi resterants. It's one of those places where they sit you with random people to fill a table. And there was a younger girl, she was 11, and damned if she didn't look like young River from the BDM. To the point of distraction. She had less freckles, but other then that doppleganger. Her father looked kind of like Badger, but I think the accent helped that and I might be stretching, but still I was reminded. I was glad to eat with chopsticks and have decided I needed a pair of my own for home. When I ordered tea with dinner I got my own little pot like Inara's and I took great care to pour with grace. It was fun. I am totally off my nut, I know. My husband, a fan himself, but not as rabid, thought I went off the deep end when I bought my blonde haired, blue eyed son a hawiian shirt. This will be cute.

What is Sable? Sable is a liquer made and sold (cellar door sales only) by a local winnery we have here. They take aged Ruby Port blend it with Brandy, Spices and then add Swiss and German chocolate.It is absolutely Manificent? Another elixer that has mystical and magical properties, which comes a close second to sable, is 'Amarula' produced only in South Africa. What is Amarula? Ah, well that explaination will have to wait for another entry. Can't go revealing all our secret elixers at once - lol. Oh... and FollowMal, thanks for the encouragement in regards to quitting smoking. I'am feeling the pinch and would really like to have one - although I think my craving may be more psychological rather than physical. Such is life.

Thanks goes out to fellow browncoat agc2002 who put the word in for me with the guys doing the Angel comics..Haven't heard back yet, but I got a foot in..seems they need cover artists and I'm gonna give comics another shot..failed attemt in the eighties not withstanding.... Well, like the title, just a big thanks to all the 'coats who had some really great ideas for my last Blue Sun image (the back of my lunchbox I'm working on. Started out as an idle thought, then grew into something of an obsession :) Figure it's been bumped down the list a bit by now, so not much point in posting a response there, but still wanted a way to show my appreciation, so... yeah, here's this blog :) Fan sites aren't really the proper forum to be seeking good criticism, and I promise that was the last time I put up something I don't feel is "finished." (Or, well, as finished as I'm ever going to feel about anything I do, of course.) Anyways, I've never ceased to be amazed at what a lovely bunch of 'coats hang out around here. Alot of the suggestions I got are in the process of being implemented. I was sort of in a bind with that one, and was most suprised at the good ideas you all came up with. For those who asked: Once I know for sure that I have a surefire way of getting this to work, I'll post some directions in the Blue Sun section of the forums. I'll also be posting links to the files I made for the decals. So on the odd chance of anyone wanting to make one themselves, they should have as easy a time doing so as I can make it. Not necessarily the cheapest arts and craft project, but not terribly expensive, either. Blank lunchboxes can be found for as cheap as $5.00 or so, and the paper I think cost me $10 - $15.00 with the shipping/handling. Can't put any up for sale, ATM, though. I'm sort of lacking in the capital and organization to do that anyways, plus I don't know enough of copyright laws to even know if I could do it without getting sued :) Anyways, much thanks to everyone who's responded to my silly fantasy, thanks to all the 'coats in general. And an especially shiny thanks to all the wonderfully talented artists out here, who continue to serve as an inspiration for me to try just that much harder. (You all know who are, and if you don't: well, then yes, I'm talking about you too :)
