Buck and Emily are proud new parents to their new baby girl, Ellie Athena. Buck is a video game addict. They did their baby's room with Mario and Peach on the walls. When I heard Emily was ok with that I thought to myself I have to make them shroom pillows. OMG it would be epic.
The red one is to make sure Ellie grows up nice and big. The green one is the extra life I'm sure her parents will need after the lack of sleep.

Firefly Costumes?

I was introduced to Firefly via DVD and my fiance. We had a Firefly party Memorial day and hooked 8 of our friends. Friends who were already fans swore up and down that we were so much like Wash and Zoe even down to the interracial couple thing.
When movie time came around all of us dressed up as the crew. I was Zoe, and of course my fiance was Wash.

We walked out traumatized. We were social as long as we had to be but I held to my sweetie's hand as we went home. The drive home not more than a couple things were said. We went to bed on my side of the bed that night. We held each other. The next day wasn't much better. Those who knew us were nearly just as shocked. Our Inara and Mal, a young married couple, Mal sighed and patted my guy's back. Inara was still crying.
It wasn't till a couple days later that my guy finally said outloud what was bothering us because we had not figured it out. Afterall it was just a movie. People kill your favorite characters all the time and it's no big deal.
"They are us."
It reminded us of our own mortality. People we love die all the time with no reason.
We had not set a date for our wedding then, but we looked at each other and said we better get on that.
