Due to a family crisis, I may not be able to post as many after-"Flan" thoughts as I'd like, so...I'd just like to say THANK YOU FROM THE BOTTOM OF MY HEART to the California Browncoats, who went way above and beyond the call of duty to salvage the weekend for us AND To our BDHs who showed what good people they are for being there for the fans AND The Bedlam Bards for blessing us with their music even though they got screwed, too AND The dealers, who offered us their labors of love and were put in a very awkward position AND Generous Browncoats from far and wide who donated money so those of us in Burbank could have the wonderful experience Backup Bash turned out to be! I want to get back in to playing the Serenity RPG, but my friends and I never all have a free day and time all at once. I was CAPTAIN, okay? CAPTAIN. Just what I've always wanted to be. When I was a very little girl and my parents showed me Star Wars for the first time, I saw Han Solo and decided that, when I grew up, I was going to be the captain of my own ship and be just like Han, all raggedy and bad-ass. I figured by the time I was all grown up, everyone would be riding around in spaceships. Needless to say, a lot of my childhood dreams did not come true.

So some young delusional girl that probably smokes crack for breakfast thinks I look 28. Isn't that sweet? I may have to adopt her. Good news on the 12 pounds is that the prednisone moon face has finally started going away! OK so I met a man online that has seen Sans Soleil and that is just freaking crazy. Anyone else seen it? Nope, me thinks you are all too young. I wonder if Chrisisall has? (insert evil smile here) And WHO HAD THEIR HANDS ON MY FUTURES ASS AT NON-CON? Cause I will have to open up a can oh whoopass! (see his blog on myspace) toodles. I have to sleep. I have to pee. I have to eat. Not in that order, but somehow I gotta do it all! :)

Since my fanfic muse took off in October and didn't leave a forwarding address, I guess I'll just populate the BSR with my ramblings on FF related new items I come across. So, I was perusing a list of the top baby names for 2006. You know, so my kid can be a beautiful and unique snowflake when the time comes to name him/her/it after a stripper. I noticed something oddly hilarious while reading down. For the ladies, "Kaylee" (but not alternate spelling "Kaleigh", which I saw in a movie somewhere) rolls in at 21st this year. Followed by "Zoe" at 30th. River and Inara get shafted, but I'm sure it's only a matter of time. For guys, the list is oddly normal (although "Sebastian" ranks at 84). Sadly, "Jayne" did not make the top 100, nor did the more normal "Simon" or "Malcolm". I didn't even scan for "Book" or "Hoban". Sorry gents, looks like old-style Anglican names are the rage this year. The wife informs me that "Zoe" is always up there, though not always that highly placed. Still, I find this proves that Joss is slowly remaking the world in his image. At least we know that we will please our new god. List is here:

How about "finished"? Now I can take my working Christmas vacation like a normal semi-workaholic procrastinator. My final projects were handed in yesterday and today. Slow release, now. :biggrin::biggrin::biggrin::biggrin::biggrin: One way or the other I'm going to Chicago for a couple of days. I'm gonna watch the Rose Bowl (boo - BCS!). Go Blue!! I'll probably enjoy a little bit of eggnog. I'll try to go to open mic's, and shy-ly do my thing. To anyone who's personal "el Guapo" happens to be shyness, I relate. The twentieth is the first anniversary of Serenity coming out on DVD, which is when I first saw it. It's been a good year with the crew, y'all.

Hi there, Today's song is Marshall Riley's Army by Geordie folk band Lindisfarne (why name it after marshall riley? why not after scullion or symonds or the other one i can't remember the name of?) in honour of my class trip to Jarrow. My friend gets to go to Barcelona for a field trip but I get to go to a place which isn't far from where I go to uni.

Ok so all of you who read my last blog would know that i wrote my 10 page research paper on Serenity. Well i got it back today and I got and AB. YAY!!! :biggrin: I think my professor has the makings of a great browncoat. P.S. I can post it if you all would like to read it.

Tis not a romantic love. Is one of adoration, of worship. He is my hero. I have either Bronchitis or Walking Pnuemonia and he demands that I not go to work tonight. I am sooooooooo bummed. If I were to go to work tonight that would be roughly 99 hours worked since Tuesday last. So will only be 88. That is just crazy. I go sleepy night night now!

I was at the thrift store today and I found an awesome brown trench coat that fits me perfectly. It's long, past my knees and it's fitted, so it shows off my figure (cue wolf whistle). Anyway, I'm wearing it right now and I may never take it off again.
