6ixStringJack: We'll figure out the rest and get you comfortable with the basics of making folders and saving things. You might remember I mentioned before the only way you could really screw anything up on your computer is if you had access to all the hidden operating system flies, and even then you would get BIG warnings saying you were messing with important files and it would force you to do the with "Administrator" privileges. It's another one of those things that are really so hard to do that you would intentionally have to be trying to screw your computer up to do it. You'll be fine. Trust me.

6ixStringJack: Nah... Coyote was just basically a "chick flick" from the time. I must not have been dating anybody when it came out, or maybe I had been in one of my longer relationships and we were way past going on dates all the time, or I'm sure I would have seen it. I think if memory serves the title of the movie was the name of the bar, and all the actresses worked for the bar.

6ixStringJack: I don't really care about the Olympics much. Used to love them when I was a youngin' with ah heart full of hoo-rah. Honestly, outside of watching Curling back in what would have been the 2006 winter Olympics, I can't even remember the last time I've sit down during summer or winter Olympics and watched an event. If something particularly spectacular or horrific happens, I usually don't end up missing clips of that. But to me it's just more sports stuff that really don't matter to me at all anymore. And with the whole world doing their best to erase everyone's history and borders and get us all to cross breed until we're all semi-pale shade of something with no history or roots, I really don't even see the point in it much more anyhow. What's a flag if national pride is a bad thing?

6ixStringJack: Can't Fight the Moonlight is a great song. I never saw the movie Coyote Ugly, but I always have known about the movie. It was one of those weird cultural phenomena at the time and it just seemed like it was everywhere there for a while. That song from Low-Fidelity All-Stars that I really like and posted about a few years ago was also in that movie from what I've heard too.

6ixStringJack: Yeah... See... Because I'm not there, I'm not sure exactly what step you missed, because I'm not sure exactly which method you ultimately used to save/copy the book. There are honestly at least a dozen ways to do it that are at least moderately distinct from each other. But me knowing that isn't important right now. You being able to successfully replicate what you did correctly next time is.

Brenda: Well, 2nd day into the winter games and Canada has 1 medal and it is a bronze. Though we were on the board before the Americans but now we are behind. Canadian skier had to air lifted to a local hospital. Badly broken leg. She had hurt it in training last week and thought it would keep her out. Obviously she should have bowed out before hand.

Brenda: Like I said "Picture" is the only song I have on tape. It's a nice song and I like it. There's another song I have on tape from a movie called "Coyote Ugly", I think that was the title. Anyways the song is "Can't Fight the Moonlight." Never seen the movie but I like that song.

Brenda: No, no, no. Next Sunday I will do the second stick and get my pictures as well as my book. I also made sure to write down the step that I missed the first time. No playing around either. I have accidentally messed things up and then had figure out how to fix what I did. When I want another folder, I will go to my local library and ask.

Brenda: Well, my fear and missing a step. The first time I check all that was the stick was old stuff. So, I went back over my notes and realized that I missed a step. I didn't hit thumbnail before hitting the save button. Once I did that, I pulled the stick out and waited for a bit. Then put it back in to see if I got it this second time and I had. Biiiiig relief.

6ixStringJack: On Kid Rock, I tend to like stories about struggle, hope, and especially those about redemption. And stories can be told in songs too. When I was younger (about half a life ago now), I used to have quite a bit more Kid Rock on my playlist, but that song I posted last night might be the only one that's still on it.

6ixStringJack: Now you're safe. You should grab that 2nd stick while it's fresh in your mind and copy / check it again and this time it should be really quick and you'll see how easy it really is without all that stressing out. You can even play around with creating folders and backing up some pictures on your 2nd backup stick now too. Though I doubt you'd actually do anything to screw that 2nd drive up while you're playing around and doing some learning, you now know that you have the book on your computer and on that 2nd stick, so unless we start getting EMP bombs dropped around us one day that wipes all of our hard drive data out, you should never have to worry about losing your book again.

6ixStringJack: This was always my favorite Kid Rock song... [go to link] Of course, there are lyrics in there that I can't actually fully understand having never walked in the man's much larger shoes, but a lot of our struggles really aren't all that different from each other's in the end, no matter what other people think about your circumstances. Most people don't understand these things because they're "Chorus" people. The older I've gotten the more I realize I don't want to waste much more time with Chorus People. I want to get to know more about all of the other ones that knew all the lyrics years before you could just ask Google and bring them up on your phone.

6ixStringJack: Feels like an alternative universe when Kid Rock is more popular with people my dad's age than he is my own. Not that my old man could even name one of his songs, but even though I'd rate some of his stuff fairly highly, I don't think he's put out anything I'd ever have on my mp3 playlist in at least 20 years now. I was listening to that dude back when all we were worrying about was Y2K. Seems like 3 lifetimes ago now.

6ixStringJack: Bah... I let the Sports people have their fun. I even stopped giving my old man and friends shit for going back to Football after they all said they'd boycott it. I only knew one other dude besides me who would stand by that, and he died pretty young. My old man enjoys football. I don't want to take that away from him. He's looking forward to the alternative halftime show tomorrow, but without the Bears there I don't know if he's even going to bother to watch the game.

Nobody is really psyched about it this year, at least around me, and one of the people I've hung out with in the past is going somewhere else with the whole family to watch it at some party. The Bears were damn near in it, and I think everyone around here is bummed out that it didn't happen.
