HAKEN: Yep. That's your user/member number. - http://www.fireflyfans.net 03.01 02:26
MalsDoxy: user ID is my member number, right? - http://www.fireflyfans.net 03.01 01:19
MalsDoxy: and cowgirl - http://www.fireflyfans.net 03.01 01:14
MalsDoxy: Hey, I'm number 3739, thanks Haken - http://www.fireflyfans.net 03.01 01:14
HAKEN: Just go to the Beta site, mouse over your name, you will see an ID number associated with your profile. That's the number. - http://www.fireflyfans.net 03.01 00:49
cowgirl: Haken, yes I understand that. But I thnk she was wanting to know "What member number am I?" - http://www.fireflyfans.net 03.01 00:17
HAKEN: @RahlMaclaren, yeah, old site occasionally has issues, which is why I'm building the new site. Not much I can do for the old one, but I can certainly fix problems in the new one if you encounter them. - http://www.fireflyfans.net 03.01 00:00
RahlMaclaren: T'was the old site. - http://www.fireflyfans.net 02.28 15:26
HAKEN: @RahMaclaren, what I was asking was whether you posted it on the old site or the new beta site. Though, regardless of which, the post should appear with with little waiting. - http://www.fireflyfans.net 02.28 06:37
HAKEN: @Cowgirl, yes. The IDs are sequential. She would be the 333rd member. However, in some cases if the number is freed up, then it's possible that it could be re-used. - http://www.fireflyfans.net 02.28 06:35
RahlMaclaren: "Serenity nod in 2/21/11 episode?" to be exact. - http://www.fireflyfans.net 02.28 02:31
RahlMaclaren: *wakes up* Haken, I posted in the newer Castle Serenity Reference thread. - http://www.fireflyfans.net 02.28 01:33
jake7: Serenity on SyFy at 4:30 CST! - http://www.fireflyfans.net 02.27 22:29
Hardware: What is with the renaming of threads in RWED? A bunch of threads have been renamed "Useless Whozit Trash" Makes things impossible. Is this a user action? - http://www.fireflyfans.net 02.27 22:25
cowgirl: I think she was asking, "If I joined in December 2003, was I the 333rd member? Just an example. Maybe she'll explain. - http://www.fireflyfans.net 02.27 21:53
HAKEN: An ID is automatically generated for each new user. Are you asking if it's possible for me to build a member list so everyone can see it? - http://www.fireflyfans.net 02.27 20:14
cowgirl: Haken, MalsDoxy was asking for her member number. That's a new question for me. Is there a list that numbers us as we register? - http://www.fireflyfans.net 02.27 19:22
HAKEN: @MalsDoxy, thank you very much for your support! - http://www.fireflyfans.net 02.27 18:37
HAKEN: And where did you post it? - http://www.fireflyfans.net 02.27 18:36
HAKEN: What post? - http://www.fireflyfans.net 02.27 18:36
RahlMaclaren: Do I have to wait for my posts to display, or did it just disintegrate on take off? - http://www.fireflyfans.net 02.27 17:59
MalsDoxy: put 10$ in the kitty, thanks for everything you do, Haken - http://www.fireflyfans.net 02.27 17:28
HAKEN: I made a fix that should at least take care of the font color problem in the thread. - http://www.fireflyfans.net 02.27 07:55
LiLi: Hooray for increased traffic, btw! - http://www.fireflyfans.net 02.26 21:39
LiLi: Ah, found it, the "Right to work" thread number 47628 has a post that's all blue but not a quote. - http://www.fireflyfans.net 02.26 21:39
HAKEN: Okay, yeah, looks like NIKI2's custom font colors are bleeding into the other posts because it's not done properly. I'll try and fix it later. - http://www.fireflyfans.net 02.26 21:28
LiLi: Well, the odd purple text is very prevalent in the "year man becomes immortal" thread number 47582 and the "Wisconsin protests" thread number 47576. I can't remember where I saw all the blue text, but I'll put it up next time I see it. - http://www.fireflyfans.net 02.26 21:13
HAKEN: Yes. Based on the analytics, my guesstimate is that there have been a 15-20% increase, yay! Unfortunately, it doesn't translate into increased ad clicks, boo. - http://www.fireflyfans.net 02.26 10:04
DMI: Haken, I was wondering if you've seen an increase in server traffic since all this buy firefly stuff started? - http://www.fireflyfans.net 02.26 07:17
HAKEN: Same is true with the bolding. I guess fixing the word wrap made the posts more sensitive to bad format tags. I'll see what I can do about it. - http://www.fireflyfans.net 02.26 06:57
HAKEN: Which threads? Part of the problem is caused by improper use of the font tags in the signatures, etc.. - http://www.fireflyfans.net 02.26 06:52
LiLi: Am I the only one seeing a bunch of threads where all the text is a sort of weird purple-ish color? Or bright blue like quoted text? - http://www.fireflyfans.net 02.26 03:26
PhoenixRose: Very cool, thank you Haken! - http://www.fireflyfans.net 02.26 03:25
CHANNAIN: Sweet! - http://www.fireflyfans.net 02.25 21:22
HAKEN: I made some changes and text wrap should work properly now. - http://www.fireflyfans.net 02.25 10:09
Channain: Haken, text wrap on the beta works on page one, but not on page 2 of a thread. I tried to tag that in the beta version, but it got swallowed somehow - http://www.fireflyfans.net 02.24 13:55
PhoenixRose: Yeah, looks like it got edited earlier today. Text-wrap would be shiny, though! These things don't always get corrected. - http://www.fireflyfans.net 02.23 22:54
HAKEN: It looked fine in Chrome, did someone correct the post? There's a CSS thing I can do to possibly have the text wrap. Will try that as a fix. - http://www.fireflyfans.net 02.23 22:12
PhoenixRose: True enough, but usually when it's stretched there's a scroll-bar at the bottom. It makes it really troublesome and inconvenient, but it's still possible to read everything by sidescrolling. I think the beta needs either a side-scoller bar, or some way to force line breaks after a certain number of characters. I would prefer forced line breaks, myself, but I have no idea how practical that is. - http://www.fireflyfans.net 02.23 21:26
TheHappyTrader: lol, yeah binary and Pi ruin threads, I found that our trying to be witty, copypasted Pi to like 1,000 decimals on Btye's log once - http://www.fireflyfans.net 02.23 20:47
PhoenixRose: Haken, I just encountered something odd on the beta: in the AI thread (or man becoming immortal thread, to give an actual title) the frame got stretched by someone posting a long string of what I assume was binary code. Except the frame really didn't stretch, just the contents. Am I making sense? The words are all going off the edge of the visible frame, now, and scrolling is not available for it, so the thread is basically unreadable. - http://www.fireflyfans.net 02.23 05:09
FollowMal: @Haken...But I surely understand the no deleting threads because of other posts thing.
- http://www.fireflyfans.net 02.21 19:13
FollowMal: @Haken...yeah I meant to delete a thread. It was already posted twice, I hated to add another thread to the board and take up room! @ManWithPez LOL Threadkiller ! I'd safely bet not! - http://www.fireflyfans.net 02.21 19:07
MalcolmTheCommander: They will be explaining how Firefly will actually take place 100 years from today...

Karel: Happy POETS Day, Channian! - http://www.fireflyfans.net 02.19 03:37
Channain: And now I'm tired, just at the thought of it all - http://www.fireflyfans.net 02.19 02:16
Channain: That's a good analysis. - http://www.fireflyfans.net 02.19 01:50
