DMI: Bookmarking worked great. Now, how do you remove a bookmark? - http://www.fireflyfans.net 03.17 19:47
HAKEN: A bookmarking feature was added to the beta site by request. One can now bookmark a discussion thread and have those bookmarks appear on one's profile page. Let me know how that works out for you all. - http://www.fireflyfans.net 03.17 11:37
HAKEN: I'm fine. I'm more concerned about that nuclear reactor over in Japan. I posted a fallout map that's been circulating around the web today. Not sure how accurate it is, but it's a cause for concern. - http://www.fireflyfans.net 03.13 04:36
SHINYGOODGUY: Hey Haken, glad to hear you are OK. - http://www.fireflyfans.net 03.13 04:33
FollowMal: Just turned on the news. Wow...scary stuff happening over there. - http://www.fireflyfans.net 03.13 02:53
DMI: Official: 'We see the possibility of a meltdown' - http://www.fireflyfans.net 03.13 00:47
HAKEN: More alarming is the fact that one of its bad reactors is using MOX fuel rods. MOX is plutonium/uranium oxide mix. - http://www.fireflyfans.net 03.12 23:27
HAKEN: Holy crap. CNN is reporting that nuclear meltdown is underway at the Fukushima reactor. - http://www.fireflyfans.net 03.12 23:08
jake7: So glad things weren't worse in Hawaii. Glad you're safe, Haken! - http://www.fireflyfans.net 03.12 16:11
HAKEN: I'm amazed that someone was stupid enough to stand on the beach to take a picture and ended up drowning. - http://www.fireflyfans.net 03.12 04:04
FollowMal: Some damage to boats and docks in CA too. Whirlpools in Ventura Bay, but they passed pretty quickly. - http://www.fireflyfans.net 03.11 18:03
HAKEN: Yeah, I'm fine. Worst damage here is a damage dock where moorings for about 100 sailboats were completely ripped off when the water in the marina suddenly dropped about 10 feet. - http://www.fireflyfans.net 03.11 18:00
FollowMal: I've been watching on tv and keeping pace with this and I'm so glad you're ok, Haken. Glad it wasn't as bad in Hawaii as they feared and so far CA is doing pretty good too. - http://www.fireflyfans.net 03.11 17:12
Sister: glad you are safe, Haken. - http://www.fireflyfans.net 03.11 17:02
HAKEN: The waves that hit us weren't very high. Highest were maybe 6 to 7 feet. Watching CA now. They might have larger ones. For those who are not aware, a tsunami wave is different from a regular breaking wave that people surf on. A tsunami wave has a massive amount of water behind it. When that thing hits shore, it's like the whole ocean comes flooding in. - http://www.fireflyfans.net 03.11 16:28
FollowMal: Now donating once a month too. FFF.net is a vital part of my life. Gotta keep her flying. :) - http://www.fireflyfans.net 03.11 13:23
FollowMal: I'm watching the news and praying for the folks out there.
Watchiung after that because I have kids who live on teh coast of CA.
- http://www.fireflyfans.net 03.11 13:05
FollowMal: Haken, please be safe.
- http://www.fireflyfans.net 03.11 13:05
HAKEN: FYI, Japan was hit by a massive earthquake. Hawaii is now under a Tsunami Warning, which means that FFF.NET might go down. Tsunami might hit around 3:00 AM HST. - http://www.fireflyfans.net 03.11 08:43
HAKEN: Thanks. It's a work in progress. I try to do a couple of builds a week. I see great possibilities for it as being one of the best Firefly fan communities on the web. - http://www.fireflyfans.net 03.10 10:34
DMI: My wife thinks the beta site is "soooo pretty" - http://www.fireflyfans.net 03.09 23:13
HAKEN: Ooops...that was me, btw. - http://www.fireflyfans.net 03.08 21:46
SIPMATE: @Nikki, I just ran some tests and notifications are going out. Maybe your SPAM filter is catching them? - http://www.fireflyfans.net 03.08 21:45
HAKEN: @Niki2, I sent you a private message, did you get it? - http://www.fireflyfans.net 03.08 21:15
Jane0904: Haken, tried to respond to your message re Reuters article but kept being thrown out. Just saying thanks! - http://www.fireflyfans.net 03.07 23:24
HAKEN: @MalsDoxy, thank you! - http://www.fireflyfans.net 03.07 21:08
Channain: Indeed. Money well-spent - thanks for all you do, Haken. - http://www.fireflyfans.net 03.07 15:38
MalsDoxy: Haken, sent in my March stipend...figure I'll do it once a month - http://www.fireflyfans.net 03.06 19:07
MalsDoxy: Wei, we must all wish AMDOBELL a shiny birthday!!! Thanks for all the amazing fic, really, you're the best! - http://www.fireflyfans.net 03.06 19:00
HAKEN: Yeah, something is wrong. Will look into it along with a couple of other weirdness that has popped up. - http://www.fireflyfans.net 03.06 08:20
Karel: I'm talking fff.net 2.0. (I forgot that the taglog is common.) - http://www.fireflyfans.net 03.06 03:25
KAREL: When I use chat using IE8, I have to hit REFRESH to see chat at all. I get a chunk of the latest activity, but it loads instantly. Huh. - http://www.fireflyfans.net 03.06 02:25
Karel: Haken, when I use this site's chat, it loads everything since day 1 and takes forever to get to the bottom. Does that sound right to you? I'm using Firefox. - http://www.fireflyfans.net 03.06 02:21
Hardware: Nevermind. I'm a dummy. - http://www.fireflyfans.net 03.05 19:53
Hardware: I tried changing my e-mail address on the beta site (I haven't had that address since 2003) and now I cannot log in with new or old e-mail addresses! - http://www.fireflyfans.net 03.05 19:52
Karel: - http://www.fireflyfans.net 03.05 00:32
Channain: - http://www.fireflyfans.net 03.04 16:48
Channain: POET'S Day <cheers> - http://www.fireflyfans.net 03.04 16:47
HAKEN: Oops...I must be dizzy, not 500. Well, at least we'll shoot for that. - http://www.fireflyfans.net 03.04 03:47
HAKEN: Just noticed that we need 1 more FB likes to reach 500. Woot! A milestone for us in the social media verse. - http://www.fireflyfans.net 03.04 02:02
jake7: Thanks, Haken! :-) - http://www.fireflyfans.net 03.04 00:03
HAKEN: I added the thread authors to the main page listing. Let me know if that'll work for you. - http://www.fireflyfans.net 03.03 21:51
PhoenixRose: I'm posting pretty exclusively from the beta now. It's working really well! I wanted to ask, though, if a thread author feature might be added. Thread titles aren't always informative, and seeing the author might be useful. - http://www.fireflyfans.net 03.03 03:03
HAKEN: Sure, I'll add that info on the next build. - http://www.fireflyfans.net 03.03 00:10
jake7: Had to look at the current site to see the date I joined. Any chance of that moving over, as well? Or did I just not see it? - http://www.fireflyfans.net 03.02 14:36
jake7: Cool! Thanks! :-) Now I know I'm #2387! - http://www.fireflyfans.net 03.02 14:32
HAKEN: To make things easier, I added the ID# to your profile on the beta site. Just login to the beta site, click on PROFILE and you should see your ID under your name. - http://www.fireflyfans.net 03.02 01:20
cowgirl: I use firefox too, and haven't been able to find my member number. - http://www.fireflyfans.net 03.02 01:03
jake7: I should add that I'm using Firefox, most recent version. In case that makes a difference. - http://www.fireflyfans.net 03.01 14:52
jake7: I can't find my user ID number. I've moused over my name on both sites and nothing happens anywhere on the screen. I've watched all status bars, etc., but nothing... - http://www.fireflyfans.net 03.01 14:51
