I'm a male, eighteen year old high school senior from San Antonio, Texas at this school: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Keystone_School
which, a bit of trivia, Summer Glau's sister Kaitlin went to, though I don't know her personally.
I'm basically a liberal with a civil libertarian streak, and I vote Democrat, though hopefully not dogmatically. I'm an atheist and a secular humanist, and philosophically I'm like those old-school Enlightenment types who loved reason so much. Unfortunately, I don't think we're very reasonable beings most of the time.
I'm a bit of a nerd, especially in the intellectual sense, because I love thinking about all manner of things. I love science, but hate the technical aspects of it, so I'm more a social sciences/humanities type.
These are, in my opinion, the three best things in the universe:
1. That something exists
2. That some things are conscious that something exists
3. That some things are conscious enough to realize the first two, and that I'm one of them.
Or:
1. Existence
2. Consciousness, and
3. Sentience.
