Well, liking a character is one thing. Looking to dress like a character is slightly on the obsessive side.

I suppose there are degrees of fandom. Collecting itmes of or similar to what a character wears ... while not my style, isn't terribly sad. I'd worry if one's identity started to blur w/ that of the character they admire.
