What is wrong with studio's?

I just finished watching the DVD's for the second time. Until 3 weeks ago I had never heard of Firefly. This is the best space based science fiction to hit the air waves since Star Trek next gen, and that series didn't really hit its stride until its third season. All of the ST series after that were fair to good, with the exception of Enterprise, which sucks. I have never seen such consistantly good scipts in a SF series (or any series for that matter)as firefly. This thing deserves to live. The movie is a good start. But this needs to get back on the air.

While many people revelled in the optimism that the ST universe forsaw, Firefly sees a grimmer world. The people are more real. Firefly's optimism is about people, not technology.

Welcome Heisler! (I figured I'd jump in since our official greeter didn't get to you first). You are now in a community that agrees with you one hundred percent about the stupidity of network executives (especially of the species commonly known as Fox). Unfortunately, Fox still owns the television rights for an extended period of time (there is some ambiguity on that length of time, worst case scenario has it at ten years). But Universal will seriously consider green lighting two additional movies if the first one is a success. So quickly print out your missionary credentials and start the converting .
