Raven : Sent you an email with some suggestions about Slight and future character arcs. What did you think?

Now that segues to this:

Maniac : 2 questions
1)Did I go in the wrong direction with Mal, concerning the interaction with Book?
2)Are you willing to play Book and Malichi? I have some nefarious ideas in Malichi's general direction. There are 2 variants, and the choice depends on if Raistlyn continues with Hexx. If he cannot play, then Malichi will do the dirty deed listed below!. Since we have heard nothing for a bit from Raist, I am not sure if he is going to continue to be able to play Hexx. So I am introducing a plan B.

which of course segues to this -

Raistlyn : If you aren't able to play much, I would like to abscond with your and Teela's idea of a bounty hunter kidnapping River during "Serenity Vacation" and have Malichi do the deed. If you can play, then Malichi could team up with Slight and track Hexx and River during the first parts of "Shadows of the Pale Moonlight" as a 'B story arc' that - when resolved will connect with the 'A arc' back with our Crew and Hitchers on the Enclave base deep in the gas giant of Oroboros in the latter half of "Shadows...".

Complicated - perhaps, but yer old insane Cap'n has a fun plan in store fer all you all!

Squee : Thanks, I thought it may be a bit ... incorrect for the character of Mal, but wanted to try it anyway.
Tonight may be a good time to hammer out the interaction with Mal. Let me know when you are free.

Ciara : How are you doing? I assume your writing muse is still with Teela's and traveling the globe with the Travelocity yard gnome. Hope they return home soon!!!

TO All : Who wants the commercial for the end of this ACT? We are at 93 post for ACT 20 and soon we will need to move to ACT 21!

Scenes to accomplish a'fore we can move to the next day and the 'cockamamie' plan :
1) Mal 'confessing' to Book.
2) Rowan getting her wave from her source.
3) Damon getting the 3rd degree from Mal
4) Merz or Jayne coming up with an idea on how to dump the Conex safely, instead of repacking into crates. (hint - bunches of bungees and empty boxes)
4) Jayne and whomever, getting Merz drunk.
5) Thorne and Inara finale. Is there one?

Anything else that I fergot? If not let us hop to and get 'em going!

Capn, I kinda promised my sister that I'd go to college group with her tonight if I could so there's a good chance that I'll be going. I should be back by 11.30 your time like before or if you are on sooner, I am free all day until I leave at 8.30 your time. Same goes for tomorrow.

No Capn, you didn't go wrong with yer post. I have just been letting the scene settle into my brain... and giving the other crew a chance to post too.
I'm not sure exactly what you want to happen with Malachi. I have ideas and will continue to play him, but I would also not mind someone else joining in sometimes too.

Raven : OK, just let me know if you like the idea about Slight trying to recover River while at a severely limited capacity - at least until Kaylee and the recovered Simon can do their double-team repair 'thing' on Brink. BTW, I am glad you really liked my 'punch-up' of your 'Resurrection of Slight' scene. It was really good to begin with!

Maniac : Cool, if ya want I can, as DFD, do a few Malachi {heh, got the spelling right this time!} posts if you get bogged down. I would say he should show up at New Hokkaido near the end of "Serenity Vacation. After finding Slight dead {so to speak} and retreiving Book's card. Maybe he decides to give Book a good scare and cannot resist the temptation to get the payout on River's bounty. We'll go from there, if that sounds good to you.

Sorry for the delay in check in, folks. Our blustery visitor friend Frances thought it'd be nice if we lent her our electricity for a while. We lost power for about 7 hours on Sunday, got it back just in time to hook a friend into Firefly and go to bed. Just after 8am on Monday, we lost power again, and didn't get it back until after I went in to work this morning.

One thing I hadn't counted on was getting calls from a couple of the neighbors of the house up in New Port Richey - site of previous Treezilla activities. Seems that Frances felt like munching on my house, too. As soon as I got home from work and had dinner, I headed up to check out the damage. Now I'm back at work, because there's stuff that has to be finished before Boss #2 comes in tomorrow morning - he's going on travel tomorrow afternoon.

I'll post more info later - probably sometime before band practice tomorrow night.
