the comicbook genre is basically almost dead
a few things, a number of entertainment product for WB / DC and Disney-Marvel will make money or get attention, 'The Penguin' is praised and Wolverine Deadpool movie makes money...some can get attention for artistic merit
but it is a different market now and it will never be the same
I said everything from Hollywood flops until mid March and I am staying with that prediction, didn't watch the Oscars I heard it was garbage anyways

if you think the costly reshoots of this movie was bad just wait for Snow White it is expected to be a massive failure and costly re-shoots
other countries Spain, China, Japan will move their entertainment products, tv, video games, movies whatever...even people in the US will watch subtitles rather than get bashed over the head with 'The Political Messages'
if Hollywood actually wanted to make money this time of year it could have just got some chick book RomCom thing like 'It Ends with Us' for Valentines, keep the budget low and there you have a hit
but Hollyweird has been fucked since about 2015 and in continuing decline, box office peaked, then came Covid, the forced DEI crap, the writers strikes and now much LA burning to the ground
it can do nothing anymore, its all phony and fake and can no longer deliver product
the era of the comicbook Blockbuster is gone, however a few more can make money but the market is gone, it will never be the same

. . . Back in the 1940s, when studios owned the movie houses and television was not yet available, more than 60 percent of the population went to the movies every week. Today, about 9 percent of the population goes.
