The Court documents indicated the jihadist Alissa’s criminal history included a third-degree assault in Avarda in 2018. He was sentenced to two months of probation and 48 hours of community service. Police told the Post they had at least one other interaction with Alissa, which involved criminal mischief.

Ahmad Al Aliwi Alissa’s Facebook page includes hints of paranoia and discussions of his Muslim faith.

Alissa exchanged gunfire with officers who entered the grocery store minutes after they were called, officials alleged during a Tuesday morning press conference. He was injured in the gunfight and taken to a local hospital, where he was listed in stable condition at the time. Officials said he suffered a gunshot wound to the leg. He was armed with a patrol rifle, Boulder Police Chief Maris Herold said. He was released from the hospital Tuesday morning and booked into Boulder County Jail, according to the jail roster.

It's media bias.

Once upon a time, media used to report fairly on events like this. Remember the grad student who shot up a movie theater in Colorado?

They told the story like it was, focused on his mental health, race and politics never came into it. (Maybe it was bc he was a white guy killing white people, I dunno, but seems like reporting was a whole lot less slanted just five short years ago!)
