Or you see the same thing about a high school 'football' player, or soccer player; or college player of any sport, or professional player. A young healthy player unexpectedly collapses either during practice or during a game, or afterwards, and sometimes dies. Of course there are always inquests - was the player pushed to hard, were they kept in the field after an injury, did they have heat-stroke, and so on. But oftentimes the cause is either a previously unsuspected medical problem - like long-QT syndrome - or undetermined.
It's expectable that players will have medical 'events'. But they generally don't receive a lot of media attention, unless it happens during a highly-watched game. So what I'd like to know is, what do previous numbers show? Are there more medical events, fewer events, or different kinds of events with any of the COVID-19 vaccines? Unless I see some hard before-and-after numbers, I have a hard time paying attention to these kinds of stories. As always, one needs to demand evidence.

Meanwhile, the athlete in the link had a heart condition, maybe from a flu when he was a pre-teenager, who had to retire from nothing to do with COVID-19 at all. Why it was even linked here is a mystery to me.

First of all it wasn't a 'study' - all that was published was an abstract. And it wasn't peer reviewed, and was authored by a single person, which also makes it not a 'study', more like an opinion piece.
