Yep - Cuomo was responsible for the really high density, high interaction, broad areal coverage of NYC. Plus the very limited testing. Sure. Whatever.
Meanwhile, old people in NYS were FAR better protected under Cuomo than old people were under DeWine, who managed to kill 4X as many per COVID death as Cuomo.
How DID DeWine manage that, I wonder? Do you think he targeted old people in particular?

But if you want to continue to claim Cuomo was responsible for a high percent of deaths coming from nursing homes AS YOU'VE BEEN DOING, then you need to explain DeWine's 4X higher death rate failure in his republican paradise.

32% of 32,570 = 10,423 dead old people from homes in NYS
82% of 3,178 = 2,605 dead old people from homes in Ohio
Looks like 4 times as many dead old people from homes in NYS than in Ohio.
I don't know. It sounds like a pretty stupid thing to even argue about. Dead people are dead people. And there is a whole lot more of them dead in New York.
But as you said, NYS is different than anywhere else in the country.
(Which is an argument I've made in the past that you completely ignored when it didn't suit your own agenda).
There could be 1,000 different explanations for why the spread killed a greater percentage of old folks in homes in Ohio than in NYS.
Maybe one of them is that mostly only old people die of it, and NYS was busy throwing every single cause of death that wasn't Coomph related into the Coomph bucket where Ohio didn't do that and their numbers actually reflect reality.
