Where it will help the Government, however, is completely curtailing any "wrongthink" overnight by allowing all of the useful idiots to shame and censor each other. They really wouldn't even have to pass any laws further restricting free speech either. The entire internet would be scrubbed clean as a safe space for kids. Nobody would risk their job or their lively hood to post an opinion that isn't part of the narrative. Look at Second... He loves telling you all about how he fires people left and right for their political opinions already.
At that point, only a clone of our existing internet popping up could save us from it. But eventually that too would grow in popularity, then ads would start creeping in and the companies providing the ad revenue would start dictating terms and once it got large enough it would eventually all just be co-opted by the original internet.

What did people vote for in the US election? Trump seems to have been elected as a kind of protest vote, an America first, maybe even the Anti-War platform, people did not want a Hillary or another Bush. Bolton live on record, quotes he admits All of These Wars Are For Oil? He supported the NATO-led military intervention in Libya that toppled the regime of Muammar Gaddafi. Bolton criticized the British "political class" for not implementing the Brexit vote... and Ron Paul asking was John Bolton the New Dick Cheney? The media news unclear whether he resigned or was fired by Trump.

I'm waiting to see how far Trump can push the lefties of today.
They fell in love with Comey, and now are the party that supports all the alphabet spook agencies.
They did a complete 180 on Mueller since the days of GWB.
They argued that war-hawk neo-con John McCain was a war hero when he died shortly after having bad things to say about Trump.
I'm waiting to hear about what a great guy Bolton was.
Maybe if Bolton was in long enough he would have given the Trump administration the Libya Model and been a hero to the Dems.
