Most members of the armed forces are honorable, patriotic Americans who would never take part in such a scheme, despite their support for Trump. But a significant portion just might.

Sorry, Second, but if human beings are doing it, whether they hate America or not, there is going to be bias. Period.
There is not a single outside entity that at least half the country would be displeased with auditing politicians taxes. And a large portion of people who love America and the Constitution, from both parties, are never going to be on board with your idea.
It's a complete non-starter.
I'll talk shit about Congress with you all day. But not on this issue. I don't think even AOC would bring this idea up.
