I'd like to think that as a country we're not there yet.
But I see this as a plausible future if we keep going down the path that we are.
Just one of the many reasons I opted out of all of it.

If we ever got to a point where somebody could pay me to attack somebody else for money, we've already descended into madness anyhow.

That's apples to oranges.
Give a big enough of an illusion of a threat and you'll have tons of people signing up for war without money even being a factor, just like we saw after September 11th.
I'm talking about getting people to do it to their own countrymen, just for money.
