I'm going to put this in the "predictions" thread. Not that this is a prediction, but it's a marker of a firm opinion about Mueller.

When Mueller's report comes out, it'll be interestig to see how this opinion holds up. Will it wilt and turn critical, like the Democratic opinion of Comey when he revealed that the FBI had temporarily re-activated its investigation of the Hillary email scandal? Will Democrats turn on Mueller, their "fundamental" opinion of a person not based on fact, law, or morals, but only responsive to whether they think he's for or against their tribe?

When Mueller's report comes out, it will not have the results of a tax audit on Trump. An intensive audit of Paul Manafort and Michael Cohen revealed tax cheating, enough to send them to jail, but Trump is not getting that attention from Mueller, I predict.

There are reasons to believe Trump cheated: he lied about the IRS audits preventing him from showing his returns to the public. He lied about $500,000,000 in estate taxes he didn't pay. He lied about the tax law rewrite that was designed to benefit him. Trump is guilty, but Mueller will leave it to the voters to decide because he already knows that GOP controlled Senate would be Trump's jury in a trial.

It's pointless for Mueller to waste his time making a case against Trump when the jury has already decided Trump is innocent. Mueller spent his time on cases where the jury is not the Republican party.

You think he lied. You want to believe he lied. He might have lied.

Hell. He probably did lie.

You just don't have any proof.

Do Right, Be Right. :)

I guess you missed this part:

Quote:

Whether or not these accusations are legitimate is up to the courts to decide. This is in no way an indictment or direct attack on the president; all we are attempting to do with these events is construct an educational case study. By analyzing these scenarios, we should be able to establish a working knowledge of tax fraud and, by extension, tax law itself.

Do Right, Be Right. :)

It doesn't matter how many times or how thoroughly you can show SECOND he was wrong on a point. Like GEEBERS he'll simply bail on the post and come back with another falsehood.

If this was the real world and Trump was my employee, I'd fire Trump now. If he complained that he had not yet been convicted of embezzlement, and therefore it is unfair to terminate his employment, he is still fired, and escorted by security off the premises, and I would redouble my efforts to get together the proof Trump stole from me, the proof that would be needed by prosecutors when Trump came to trial. Vice President Mike Pence can handle Trump's job immediately. Trump is not an essential employee. He can be replaced easily.

Alternatively, the lying thief Trump could be left in his job, making it possible for him to destroy evidence of his crimes.

I dunno. Sounds like you just don't like the guy because he doesn't agree with your politics.

You bet your ass you'd better redouble your efforts to find proof he did anything wrong, or else you'd be on the wrong end of a wrongful termination suit in the scenario you laid out.

Trump has made clear that he will not accept losing the 2020 election. If he loses, the Secret Service will escort him out of the White House and put him on a plane to either Trump Tower, Mar-a-Lago, or Moscow -- it's Trump's choice. Then the prosecutors begin work on convicting Trump of tax evasion.

Meh... whatever.

You constantly quote my posts, yet never reply at all regarding them.

I grow tired of your changing the subject, moving the goal posts and whatever it is you've convinced yourself as being extremely witty on your part.

*yawn*

6ix, stop responding. Show self-control. Then brag about your superiority.

The Power of Petty Personal Rage
Hamburger paranoia, drinking straw police, and the state of the right.
www.nytimes.com/2019/03/11/opinion/captain-marvel-republican-rage.html

Demented anger is a significant factor in modern American political life — and overwhelmingly on one side. All that talk about liberal “snowflakes” is projection; if you really want to see people driven wild by tiny perceived slights and insults, you’ll generally find them on the right.

Just to be clear: I’m not saying that most conservatives are filled with rage over petty things. What I’m saying instead is that most of those filled with such rage are conservatives, and they supply much of the movement’s energy. Not to put too fine a point on it, pathological pettiness almost surely put Donald Trump over the top in the 2016 election.

We should realize what’s happening. It may be comforting to believe that politics is driven by more or less rational considerations of costs and benefits. But the reality is that a lot of it is driven by unreasoning rage.
