Finally, a nice day....one of my chickens laid an egg...and the strange illness I've had for the past few days seems to be backing off; all good things!

Tuesday....not raining....There's a protest march set in our little town this weekend and I'm going.

Wednesday...an early taste of a steamy hot summer to come. Sky is white...humidity is high. Gotta water those tomatoes!

'full disclosure on the chipmunk front....I did not see this, however my husband told me about it. I have been keeping the rodents away form my garden with screening and peppermint oil..however one of the little chipmunks took a dive into a small pool we have for one of our dogs and drowned! I felt terrible, so yesterday started tailing out the pool...when I got it low enough, said husband came out to help me tip the rest of the water out...and I slipped and went face first into mud and muck!! We laughed a LOT!! So call it chipmunk's revenge!!

Happy Saturday! It's protest march day....I haven't done one of these since the Vietnam War...but this is critically important to me.

I'm a tired old hippy chick...but the protest march was peaceful and beautiful...police were kind and helpful and the crowd of people so lovely and diverse...we had people standing along the highway cheering us on. I am so glad I took part...now we all must VOTE!!
