Though the stubbornness is a family trait.Seen on both sides but maybe a little bit more on my dad's.
The walking is good for me and even my GP asked me if I got out during the lockdown and I said I did. I am now staying out longer than an hour which gives me more time to get things done.
Think somewhere along the line I mentioned that I fell into the writing by accident. I had had a row with just about everyone in my life and so I picked up a pad of paper and pen and just started. And this is coming from someone who loathed English class in high school. I like to get them right even if no one sees them. I write stuff for myself and for here, so I want the plot to work and hopefully the characters to seem right.
I'm already sort of starting to see the end of this bit of the blahs.

Been flogging myself thru yardwork ... it is an unending chore, especially if you've committed to what is essentially a garden front yard and a large veggie garden in the back.
Got a bin or more of bermuda grass dug. Not a lot, but it was a righteous bin as is was all close digging right around established plants. Also some prunings and a bin of avocado leaves raked.
But it was going so slow I decided to take a weekend vacation from outdoor work, and do paperwork and shower scrubbing and such. I have to say, my body really needed the break.
It's coming clear to me with each advance of arthritis that I'm going to have to find some way of staying mobile and functional, and it's going to take a concerted effort on my part if I don't want to end up chairbound in ten years, so I better start attending to that and maybe do some online research.

Speaking of which, my back is still tweaked. It's not so bad that I can't get around at all, but bad enough that I'm shuffling bent over and I have to be very slow and deliberate with everything I do, and take frequent breaks. So everything I'm doing is very, very slow. OTOH I made chicken jok (a SE Asia rice porridge) where I substituted a fair bit of riced cauliflower for the rice, and it came out very tasty!

I got a couple of small chores done around this place yesterday. Kitchen sink cleaned out, bathroom mirrors cleaned and bed reorganized.

But I don’t believe that this is true. Virtually all of the rioting is happening in cities that are controlled by Democrats, and the leftist politicians that run those cities do not have any control over the Marxist protesters at all.
For example, just look at what has been happening in Seattle and Portland. The politicians that run those cities are radical Democrats, and yet those radical Democrats have been completely and utterly unable to end the violence. The following comes from the Daily Mail…
The streets of Seattle turned violent Saturday when protesters set fire to a youth detention center and a police precinct. Other protesters threw rocks, bottles, fireworks and other explosives at cops, with the unrest leading local authorities to declare protests had turned into ‘riots that afternoon’.
Portland geared up for its 59th night of unrest Saturday with swathes of demonstrators marching from the federal building to the Portland Marriott where they believe federal officers are staying, in the wake of a violent night Friday that ended with at least one person stabbed.
To me, it is absolutely amazing that Portland has had 59 days of protests in a row.
One man that actually lives in downtown Portland says that his neighborhood has essentially been turned into “a war zone”…
Gabriel Johnson has lived in the Essex House Apartments in downtown Portland for seven years. He has loved it — until now.

Elsewhere, two very heavily armed militia groups nearly came face to face in Louisville, Kentucky this weekend …
More than 300 members of the Atlanta-based Black militia NFAC, or “Not ******* Around Coalition” came to Louisville demanding justice for 26-year-old Breonna Taylor, an ER technician who was fatally shot by officers in March.
The group came close to 50 far-right “Three Percenter” militia members, who were also heavily armed. Police kept the sides apart and tensions eventually dissipated.Quote:
