So, I see a couple weeks ago that the American Beef
industry is drying up, and I read today that more are
getting into the industry because prices are so good.
All I know 3-4 bucks a pound is crazy.

Pork- supposedly there was a fatal diarrhea virus in the
small pigs that has caused the price of bacon to DOUBLE in
the last three years.

Orange juice still ridiculous at $4.50 for 60 oz.

Coffee is experiencing a rust epidemic. All I know is since
we don't have a machine anymore(hubby never cleaned the mess
and GAWD I do mean mess) a small container of instant is about
nine dollars.

Eggs? $1.60 a dozen (probably because of all the recalls
last year...

Been reading that milk may set to double here, even though
it was at $4 bucks a gallon for most of the last two years
because of a price war thing.

Price for breakfast? Well, lets just say it better be a
full service breakfast o.O

And yes, I know some of you don't eat these things, we
get it you're gloating right now... Some of us are married
to miners who think the four food groups are Beans, Bacon,
Beef, and Lard and get really angry if you don't agree.
So. I gotta say, it's killing us.

I saw a couple women the other day at Wal-mart counting
out change for a couple of those reaaaal cheap pizzas,
and from the looks of 'em was about all they were eating
these days. I can't imagine what people do that have three
or four teens in the house... This one is constantly hungry.
I do kind of understand why there is soo many gaming the system.
What else is there to do????

On the other hand, Argentina isn't so bad as a source, they're overall less GMO/Pesticide crazy, and I guess they have huge orchards or something down there, which also makes em a not so bad source of Honey as well cause the bees they use to pollinate the fruit trees and all, which are prolly healthier than ours.

Won't help your hay fever like locally sourced Raw Honey will, but even so, finding "food" that isn't fuckin poisonous these days has become hard enough I figured to throw that one out there.

What part of the country are you in?
Last year I was traveling the country a bunch for work, had to really watch closely the prices at grocery stores - California meant milk was 3x normal price, but juices were half price, south have different pricing, northeast different also. I tailored my breakfast meal according to what was not exorbitantly expensive.
Remember Obama has spent 5 years trying to get gas up to $9 per gallon, so you can increase your food costs with that.
Just wait til he gets gas up to that plus Minimum wage up to $15 and see how happy you are with food prices. You'll only be able to buy pre-packaged stuffs from China.
