How to Shindig

Gorrammit! I can chat with y'all as individuals, but not in the group. I would be depressed beyond belief, but at least I managed to find out what ep everyone is watching right now. And I get to snuggle with my guy, too!

For those who couldn't attend, the first Official Virtual Shindig went well. I think close to twenty people showed up at one point or another. We watched two episodes, Out of Gas and Jaynestown, before I had to leave.
Even though the Official Virtual Shindig is over, the Firefly chat room is always there and I plan on checking in whenever I have a chance.
I don't know how it works on other AIM clients but in Apple's iChat you choose the 'Go to Chat...' item from the File menu, then type 'Firefly' (without the quotes) and click the 'Go' button.

Wow, spiffy. My internet (and phone, and cable tv for my whole neiborhood) is gone will be for awhile too because of a broken line, so i couldn't get in. (or start it, whoch i seemed to think i was supposed to)
so i;m glad it all worked out.
And im REALLy pissed at whoever cut the

I'm on an older OS than Jaguar so don't have iChat. I did finally figure out what the problem was ... I was guilty of not reading AOL's instructions fully and didn't realise that their OS10 version was the correct one for 9.x, too!
Oh well ... live and learn. At least I can stop jabbing these pins into my AOL doll.

As I am leaving next week, i would like to have one more shindig, that i can actually come to, before i leave and go 3 months with very little internet.
So, announcing the SECOND ANNUAL SHINDIG!
Tuesday next (june 8th i think) at 5-ish (pacific time), we can have another shindig! Again, we can argue about what to watch before we watch it.
So tell your freinds, tell your neighbors, tell you pet fish if thats the only thing around. Then, come to the SECOND ANNUAL SHINDIG!

How about making the annual Shindigs weekly? For thems who live in the Americas (or who think that sleepiness is weakness of character), join us in the AIM http://www.aim.com/ room Firefly on Tuesdays 8:00pm EST (Wednesdays 00:00 GMT). I recommend the gaim http://gaim.sourceforge.net/downloads.php client for GNU/Linux and Windows users. If you're using something else, some clients require that you invite yourself to a room to join it.
