OK, to start: I am on both MSN and AIM as CapnRahn. I think I have a Yahoo chat ID and a ICQ, but haven't used either in a while.

If all y'all want to do this, just give a shout on this thread as to which chat and day/time you prefer.

I am availible pretty much any time, except Wednesday nights. I have both MSN and AIM. I also have a friend with a live chat room on the internet, so if it works out better than IM programs, then we are welcome to use it. Only thing that can be a problem with that site is your computers will need Java. So maybe it'll be useful, or maybe it won't...

Well, obviously I want to do it.
Maybe the best time for everybody to do this would be a weekend? I am sensing some, if not all of you, have day jobs, and I work swing, so weekdays are a problem. Unless, y'all are willing to dodge off work and play on your computers.
For me, afternoons are always good, but for everyone, Saturday afternoon-ish?

I might be talking out of a hole in my head here Squee, but "Capn Rahn" may need a space between the words, to add him to your aol buddy list.

Excellent. Let's do it. We can get the 30 some odd minutes of being trapped together out of the way, and we can field test the method for other events, like dinners in the galley and parties and such.

I can do this (AIM is preferable) anytime after 7:30 EDT. This weekend is an option as well.

Squee, can you add an aol.com address for MSN chat? I thought it had to be an MS address (ie hotmail, msn). I don't really know, I'm not that familiar with the system.

As far as the chat goes, this weekend (and every one until the 2nd in June) is out for me, as we'll be at the RenFaire both Saturdays and Sundays until 7pm (central). I could probably do it after 9pm, or anytime during the week. Give me a day/time and I'll make an effort to be here. I would also prefer a chat room somewhere, where we can all talk at the same time. Might make the flow a little easier.

CapnRahn, I liked your post for Saffron, although it did strike me as a tad wordy. Saff always struck me as having an amazing amount of street smarts, but not a lot of book learning. Seems to me her interior dialogue would be more basic. Just my opinion, though.

Teela, put some words in River's mouth, hope they work ok for you!

Raven, wouldn't be nice if all smokers had Nanos that could clean up the smoke? Heh...good one.
