It doesn't count people dying off say of old age or random people dying say of a forest fire or flood. Was bad after Bush invaded Iraq, then it went down a bit, now after 2010 it seems to be going up every year
Ramadan Death Toll might be very high this year

So these are murders committed during the period of Ramadan, and only those committed by Followers of The Religion Of Peace - aka Muslims?

Gotta flaunt their infidel ways in the faces of radical Islam, support radical Islam Obama terrorism, and then insist upon celebrating Gay Pride Week at the beginning of Ramadan. At least they celebrated at a Gun-Free Zone, so the terrorists would not find resistance or opposition. As Jayne might say: Saw that comin'.

I think most people would consider "Peace has broken out in Syria" as a statement about what will happen in the coming days, weeks, months - i.e. not devastating war. Hence its inclusion in this thread.

I think we can all agree now that peace DID NOT break out over Syria. You should own your mistakes Siggy. You'll be a better person for it.

And yanno what? It's coming, it is. I predicted a meltdown, BEFORE Brexit. Brexit will be a convenient fall guy, and has ALREADY served as the reason for the EU to allow a "crisis" government intervention in Italian banks, but the reality is that some of the governments of the EU, and the USA can't stay afloat on a sea of baseless fiat currency and bad debt.

I find it pathetic that you would have to dredge up multiple sentence fragments, just to misquote. I mean, really??? Anyone reading what I wrote would understand what I meant - except you and your two stooge friends. You're so twisted by hate that you can't even comprehend properly anymore. Global stock markets lost about $2 trillion in value on after Britain voted to leave the European Union, while sterling suffered a record one-day plunge to a 31-year low and money poured into safe-haven gold and government bonds.

The blow to investor confidence and the uncertainty the vote sparked could keep the U.S. Federal Reserve from raising interest rates as planned this year, and even spark a new round of emergency policy easing from major central banks.

The move blindsided investors, who had expected Britain to vote to stay in the EU, and sparked sharp repricing across asset classes. Mainland European equity markets took the brunt of selling as investors feared the vote could destabilize the 28-member bloc by prompting more referendums.

The traditional safe-harbor assets of top-rated government debt, the Japanese yen and gold all jumped. Spot gold rose nearly 4 percent and the yield on the benchmark 10-year U.S. Treasury note fell to a low of 1.406 percent, last seen in 2012, though it climbed higher in afternoon trading.

Dow futures fell, with the implied opening signaling a 150-point drop, while S&P 500 futures pointed to a 21-point decline and NASDAQ futures indicated a 43-point drop. Gold futures rose, in a reflection of sustained demand for safe-haven assets.

Still, Britain's big banks took a $100 billion battering, with Lloyds , Barclays Bank and RBS plunging as much as 30 percent, although they cut those losses nearly in half later in the day.
