Watching Buffy Season 7/Angel Season 4

Hello,

After becoming a big Firefly fan, I decided to look at Joss Whedon's other shows and have since become an equally big fan of Buffy and Angel.

However, I need some guidance on how to watch season 7 of Buffy and season 4 of Angel together. I've heard there's some crossover between the two, but since they were on separate networks they don't line up precisely. So from what I've heard you can't just alternate between the two(like you could for seasons 4/1 and 5/2).

So could one of you tell me what order to watch the episodes in? Please avoid any spoilers.

Well, I don't have the whole list, but angel is definetly what you want to watch first baring any other things(angel episode then buffy)

There might be more complications though...The crossovers are not overly major, so don't worry too much if you screw them up anyway :)

There are 2 ways to go with it. I explained the 2 choices so you can decide if you want to go with the intended order or a spoiler free order.

Someone suggested watching all of Angel first.
That's an idea, but
(the following is a tiny tiny spoiler, just
in terms of who crosses over)

but Willow does crossover to Angel, and seeing
her on Angel will ruin some of her character development on Buffy. now, you could just assume that she is 'unrealistic' on Angel, that she is an "Angel version of willow", which is actually true, but there is definitely some development in terms of what her attitude towards magic is. So, my suggestion would be to watch most of Angel first, but make sure you've watched more than half of Buffy
before you do the last 6 or 7 eps of Angel.
Other than this one thing, you definitely want to watch Angel before Buffy, as far as I can remember. well... of course, you don't want to
watch Angel season 5 before Buffy season 7, unless you already are... ;)

No problem.

Since you have decided to go against the 'correct' order in favor of the WOW moment, then i suggest you do it like this:

7x01-7x16
4x01-4x22
7x17-7x22

This way you aren't breaking up the Angel or the Buffy momentum.

When youre done, let me know if you think it was better that way.
