Just got done with my first training day at the new temp job. Didn't do much, but that's okay by me b/c I'm still getting paid for it!

edit: It helps that the people there are really nice. Everyone seems happy to be working there. Good times.

I kinda liked temp jobs when I knew they weren't going anywhere. They meant so much less pressure. If they were just for the summer or something then all I had to do was not royally mess up and they'd be happy. Ah simpler times.

And if anyone is hating there job right now just listen to this tech support call and be happy you're not this guy:

It is always a good idea to be very nice to tech support. Make their day as pleasant as possible.

On that note my mouse died. Some sort of short inside. It would work great and then zip. Give it a shake and it would work again. Got a new one after having everything tn the computer checked out because old mouse decided to work while the tech was testing it. Finally realised it was the mouse going in and out.

which was sadly followed by a very early morning. Johnny has decided sleep just isn't for him...

oh small ponder. At what point in the sleep depreivation continuum would you consider staying home for a sick day?

I only do it if I am so tired I can't function and am concerned I will fall asleep at the wheel while commuting

Pssh day off for sleep deprivation? Never. If it's bad enough you'll get sick or have to be hospitalized or something. Then you can have a sick day. (note: don't take Zeek's advice and end up hospitalized)

It's a good thing I'm not anybody's boss. I'd be such an unforgiving person

It felt like a Tom and Jerry thing. I hate it when something works and then stops and then works again. Of course a mouse is so cheap that it costs less to buy a new one then fix the old one. They are glued together anyway and are not meant to be taken apart. But that mouse had flashing strobe lights inside a clear body. It was cool.
