Sorry baby time is somewhat all consuming. Avery I'm with you on how annoying it is that they act like spending hundredsvof dollars on clothing is normal.

You could have done a masculine little dance zeek.... also maybe next time it'll be all the firefly women fighting over you.

Ok we're doing the obligatory bbq and fireworks.

Ponder- in honor of the most recent browncoat wedding, would you marry someone who didn't like firefly?

hmmm...you mean like an endzone celebration after scoring a touchdown? I guess I could see that.

How rich is she and is there a prenup required? If very very rich and no prenup then probably. What can I say I'm a lazy man and large sums of money can really make my dream of excessive laziness come true.

Other than that it would be pretty tough to get past. I really can't understand how a person could not like Firefly. The show should be both funny and touching to just about anybody. If it's not then I just don't see how our personalities are going to match up anyway. It's not like my sense of humor is going anywhere. So, if they can't laugh at Firefly then we're going to have a lot of times that we don't see eye to eye.

I would. As long as he don't trash it in front of me.

I'd think a guy was ridiculous if he wouldn't date me because I didn't like some show. I hate some of the shows my best friend absolutely loves and we have no problems.

Sure would (considering how long the non-firefly-watching bf and I have been together ^_^). People are entitled to their likes and dislikes, and as long as they respect that of each other it's not an issue IMHO.

OK here's a ponder.

Would you rather have to give a presentation to a group of people you can't see over a conference call or would you rather be in the same room with them?

I just had to give a presentation for work and it was over the phone. It made me somewhat nervous because I didn't know who was on the other end of the phone, how many people were listening, and how they would react to my presentation. However, once I got into it I was pretty calm about giving the presentation. The part I found the most annoying was not being able to see any reactions. Did they understand what I was talking about? Was I moving too quickly? Just strange. However, if I was in the room with them I'd have to focus on making eye contact and what I'm doing with my hands, etc.

I can't decide which would be better really.

Ohhhh...stuff to catch up on.

Expensive stuff: I get the allure but would not really spend the $$$. If it's horse stuff, well, the sky's the limit. My breeches are $200+ each..and I have 6 pairs of that particular brand. Don't get me started on the boots or even my new saddle. It cost almost as much as my first horse.

Dating/marrying someone who didn't like my favorite show? (making it a little more generalized) Absolutely. As long as they didn't make me feel stupid for liking it or begrudge me watching it when I wanted to.

BTW: who are the newest FF marrieds?

Presentations: In person, please. Both suck, but it's hard to gauge interest/boredom over a conference call. And I think I would be a little to lax over a call whereas you have to be "on" to be in front of people

That's a tough one, Zeek. I hate giving presentations period, but I'm horrible at talking on the phone. I get easily distracted and end up zoning out, and if I'm not conscious of the way I talk I end up mumbling :P Talking to people in the room, as unpleasant and nerve wracking as it is (I fall to pieces when I have to speak to a group) helps me stay focused. I'd definitely rather be in a room for fear of ADD, lol.
